They called me for an interview with promising words and never called me back. Just to make clear I’m not a felon or have any problems with anybody at all. The conclusion I can come to is that these people are “RACIST” so if you are not a white colored person with IRISH background. You can find work somewhere else. Update on my review: Now the owner replied “that they called me for an interview and I didn’t show up” That’s a LIE. I already had an interview already and talked to all 3 people in the office. The lady and 2 guys including the boss named Ron I believe. Nobody has ever called me from that day forward and trying to make me look like a fool and a lair. Good luck to everyone who is in contact with these people, seniors and workers.

Questions & Answers

I am researching foundation priorities for a Not for Profit organization. Does your agency have a specific focus?

For nearly 25 years elderly and/or disabled residents of the Capital Region have relied on Umbrella of the Capital District for affordable help with everything from routine housecleaning and yard work to home repairs. Umbrella means peace of mind. As one member put it, "I regard Umbrella as the best and cheapest insurance in town. I know that help is just a phone call away--24 hours a day. I plan to be a member as long as I am “aging in place”. For many seniors and persons with disabilities, the difference between being able to remain at home or being forced to move is having access to low-cost, trustworthy, and reliable home maintenance assistance. For a small yearly membership fee, Umbrella provides just the help they need.

When a senior signs up is anyone available to drive a student to school if the grandma can't drive any longer for the $12.50 fee??

I am sorry, Umbrella is not licensed to transport children.

Who is eligible? My husband and I are 69 and 67 and could use help with lawn mowing.

Hi Gail, Thanks for the note. Yes! I am happy to report that you and your husband are eligible for Umbrella services. We do lot's of lawn mowing. Usually for the entire summer. The homeowner is required to provide a lawn mower for mowing to be done
