Helped me get on my feet 4 years ago in just 4 short months. Great residential resource.

I am a current resident here, this is my third time being here, the director, the case managers do not do this for the money, or else they're in the wrong field, they have been there for me in the worse times of my life. They have bent over backwards to help me with what I needed as far as driving around for hours and hours to get all the information needed for me to get into school, they have offered me life advice during some difficult times and never pushed me to do anything other than what I am SUPPOSED to do. I am truly grateful to be at the Beacon House. Anthony Bogus you said you work sat thru sun. So you work for 2 days and complain about helping serve the homeless. That just shows your character. I am more than happy to contribute and serve the community, it's the least you can do.

The staff is always caring of the residents, the homeless they serve, and the volunteers. The facility is well maintained and provides a solid transitional environment for those passing through.

The staff here are truly helping out many people. They are always kind and don't mind lending a helping hand. We are grateful to have them in Pinellas co.

Yes it's a men's residence you could Google The Beacon House in St Petersburg it should give you the number and if you're looking for the women's residence I believe it's called the Baldwin women's residence of St Petersburg you can also Google that

Its not a homeless shelter. Its is a facility to help you get on your feet. You get a bed and have to be here 6-9 months

Do they help you with a guy with a kid

I'm sorry to hear about your situation. First call 211 and learn about the resources that are currently available. Another place to check is St Vincent's. Unfortunately their support is for after you are houseless but if you go there every morning just after 9 and wait for a spot in their program, they offer meals, showers & a safe place to sleep. Plus they have a good financial assistance program to help you find/afford a new home. I trust their services. Start by calling 211 today. Hopefully there are some new resources available.

How does it work with out of town residents do they need to have a Florida id

I would suggest that you give them a call and explain your situation and I believe they'll be able to answer for you better I believe you need to have a Pinellas County address but if you are coming from out of state they might make a special Arrangement or exception they're great people go ahead and give them a call

You have to contact beacon house for inter view.. If you have a job and no violent felonies you most likely get accepted.. They are same 2 bed room appartments with 4 guys in each appartment. You will also be required to pass a drug test and remain drug and alcohol free while staying here.. Rent is 70$ a week

Is there a place I can keep my clothing while im out on the street s

Yes...at St Vincent de Paul's they have a storage trailer that remains locked. They open it at certain times during the day if you need access to your things. Contact 211 and they can give greater details as to when you need to be there to sign up for a bin in this trailer...
