Sunday Mourning
Wonderful, caring people! Our car broke down and we were screwed over by a mechanic shop, causing us to lose the car altogether! Since my husband was a delivery driver, losing the car meant losing his job. We couldn't afford food for us OR our dog. We went to RCS food bank and they gave us so much food! 3 packages of lamb chops! 2 things of some sort of brisket burgers, no-fat ground beef, a large bag of chicken, chicken strips, a tv dinner, ham & cheese hot pockets, spaghetti sauce & pasta, half a dozen LARGE cans of salmon, 4 cans of tuna, granola bars, avocado chips, 3 small bags of regular chips, fruit bars, mac-n-cheese, a large box of peach slices, a couple cans of fruit cocktail, a huge box rice, a box of apple cinnamon oatmeal, a large box of crunchy oats cereal, raisins, a couple cans of chicken soup, a few cans of beans, a lot of of french bread and a loaf of sliced bread! Also a bag of dog food as well as a few cans of wet dog food.... There was just so much! Thank God for places like RCS!

Located off Druid Road close to downtown Clearwater in Pinellas County you'll find RCS Food Bank ... When I went it was still drive thru only ... Can only visit once a month ... Very polite and helpful ... Open part time hours (check their website for details) ... Get there early to avoid long lines ... And make sure you remember your i.d. card for them ... It makes the process so much easier ... If you're in need of assistance with food for your household ... Reach out to RCS Food Bank (go to their google page for ways to contact them)... They are always there and more than happy to help you ...

I did work here I can vouch and verify that the good food that they get that's not expired they do save some of it for the employees. One time they told me to come over to the table and they said that you can eat anything you want the table was filled with a lot of food and a lot of desserts mostly desserts that could have gone out to the people that were there to get food. The food sometimes comes in bins and we have to sort them out and yes it is expired but not all things are expired. We were told that we could pick anything that we want to have. We were told that we can get a box of food for our own self. We were told that anything in there we could pick first hand and we could put the box aside. Some of the food that has expired we were told to sometimes not all the time to throw it away depending on how many months they're apart from the expiration date. It's hot back there and we were given a fan but even with the fan blowing it was still hot grateful that they opened up the doors in the back. They are nice people there but some of these reviews about expired food I'm sorry to say are true. I liked working here and I liked working with the people the people in the back are extremely nice I remember this one girl that was there she was doing community service I was working right next to her. I don't remember her name but she was really nice too. The people are nice here and some people do care and then you got some people that don't that are there just to do what they need to do and leave. Don't get me wrong I'm grateful for the experience but I just did not think it was right for me to work there. And I do feel bad about getting food from there the good kind. I really wish that helping hands was still up and running. I went to go help out at salvation army their place was a lot better and cooler and yes even over there you get to pick things that you would like to buy or want first. I'm hoping one day I'll find an envelope filled with money just like that lady did at Goodwill. 😄🙏

Visit the Food Bank between food distribution hours. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday 12:30 pm - 3:30 pm or Thursday 12:30 pm - 6:45 pm
Tiffany is right. Might need proof of income
You do not need to be on food stamps...its the amount of people in your household that gets more i believe
I work at this food bank and the answers provided are correct. Social security card for each member of household as well as proof of address is required. A recent utility bill or piece of mail with recent postmark will do. Also you must live within the geographic service area served by the food bank. The service area is roughly pinellas park to oldsmar, from the gulf to the bay. Palm Harbor and St Pete are NOT in our service area.
We don't deliver. You would register each resident that you would be picking up for
Once a month after 12:30PM daily
I'm not sure if they take in prepared food. However I do know there is some homeless men who are around that area alot. They may take it in for them.
In the back of the building
This is not a church. Monday thru Friday.
You need to bring SS cards for u and anyone else that lives with you.. I know I had to bring mail with my address on it. ID also..
Yes and they would definitely help you especially with food they might even help you find a place to stay
Clothes to kids will give 5 free outfits, there are 3 locations in Pinellas county
They're open every day from 12:30 to 4pm. ID and social security card is required and possibly proof of residence. On your second visit you will receive a a picture ID.
If you need help with utilities contact Salvation Army Social Services. If funds are available they will help a maximum of 4 times lifetime. Another resource is 211 Tampa Bay Cares. RCS doesn't provide electric assistance. You can also call your local Catholic church and ask for St. Vincent de Paul.
They only hand out good on thursday
