you Can take it for homeless on your way to home
It is against the law to take food from a restaurant and feed the homeless unfortunately because a homeless person got sick and sued the restaurant for alot if money and won the suit that led to the law being put in place and it is against the law to feed the homeless already cooked food it has to be a shelf sustainable food hope this helps
I'm in Clearwater trying to help the homeless when I can. I was a homeless veteran. We can always use cooked food here. RCS is of no use to the homeless since they have no cooking facilities. James Goetzke on Facebook. Saint James Poor Box on Facebook. We also need gently used shoes and socks. Thanks anyone for input. God Bless.
Contact Food Not Bombs. They might be able to take and distribute already prepared food rather than letting it go to waste. Food banks, however, cannot take already prepares food - as Gerald said above. Best of luck and thank you for thinking of the less fortunate <3
I'm a 65 yr old that needs food
In some states there is the Good Samaritan Law that protects food establishments when donating. When i was on maui in the 90's i calculated the buffets would throw about 40,000 lbs of food out each day, & when i inquired to the restaurant buffets their main defense for not donating was they didnt want potential liability for lawsuits. If you have an ongoing supply i would contact the local government food bank network.
Hey,I was just wondering where u were located?
I know a bunch of homeless who would be grateful for the food your throwing away if this is still the case.
I am about to help start a Christian halfway house with my brothers and we could always use food to help out.
They help many people after you go 2 times the give you a card with your picture on it so you know you are in the system it makes it easier
Is it cooked food? They wont take it. Packaged, frozen, canned, breads, foods about to expire from supermarkets I could use something
