We took a private cruise to take our daughter's ashes to spread on the ocean with Sanctuary Cruises. Brian Sack was responsive to our questions and made it clear and easy to arrange for everything we needed. We all arrived on time and were escorted to the boat. I could see the boat was well maintained and clean. They made us all comfortable, offering snacks and drinks, and went over the itinerary. The children found comfort in seeing the wildlife on the smooth ride out. Once at our destination, they stayed forward in the boat while we said prayers and spread her ashes. The crew did a good job at holding the boat steady when the current made things a little wavy. It was peaceful just the way we needed it to be. After returning, the crew wished us all well and escorted us back to the parking lot. I can't say enough about Sanctuary Cruises, their staff, and their crew.

This tour was absolutely fantastic. The crew were so informative and did everything to make sure we got the best view of the whales! They were all super friendly, down to earth and the smaller tour made this one of the best experiences. We were very close to the whales and got amazing photos. The memories of this tour will be cherished forever and it was all thanks to the whole crew that day! Highly recommend. Would use this tour service over others in the future! Thank again.

My daughter and I had a lot of fun today on Sanctuary Cruise. Wasn’t long when heading out in the Bay when first whale showed up. Amazing experience! We saw three types of whales, humpback, gray whale, and dolphins. Gray-spotted dolphins and saw Casper the albino dolphin. The crew was amazing, friendly and knowledgeable of the marine animals. Chase is a marine scientist on board and was willing to answer all kinds of questions. I recommend Sanctuary Cruise. We’ll do it again with them definitely, maybe when the great whites start showing up.

The BEST whale watching tour we've ever been on! We had the best time on our tour with Sanctuary Cruises. We were originally booked for the morning trip but they called and offered to upgrade us for the longer afternoon trip at no cost since we were the only ones on the morning tour and we are so glad that they did! We got to see so many whales up close and personal including lunge feeding humpbacks, a playful humpback calf, orcas, a sunfish, dolphins, and lots of sea lions. I cannot recommend them highly enough. The tour was laid back and personal and was not too big of a boat or full of too many people. They also offered sea sickness wristbands for anyone needing them. I wish I could give them more than 5 stars! We will definitely be coming back the next time we visit the area!

Hi, I am planning a Whale Watch Tour on 28th of June which time is better to see whales? starting tour at 8 AM, 10:30 AM or the afternoon?????? thank you per advance. Regards

Anouk Frey | Aug 25, 2018
Brian Sack | Aug 25, 2018

Hello Anouk, It is manly an answer of what time is best for you. The 8 am tour is 2-3 hours and the 10:30 am is 3-4 hours. So, in the case of time the probability is greater the longer you are on the water. It is recommended if you are a first time boater or have a child that has not been on the water that you do the 2-3 hour to see how you do in regards to being prone to seasickness. Sanctuary Cruises offers a whale check. If you do not see any whales or dolphins they offer you a voucher to come back for free. If you go in the afternoon the seas are generally a little rougher on the water but by that time they know where the whales are in the bay. Cheers, Brian

What time do they start on May 24, 26, 27
