The Berk is the best! It is a hidden gem for students. It is closer to campus than the dorms and they have many floor plans. My friend and I signed and shared a double room with our own bathroom. The best part for me is the rooftop area to enjoy the weather. I am looking to move to the berk on arch location next near since it is even closer to my classes on north campus!

I am currently living at the Heritage apartments(the one with a "court yard view") located at the Berk and advise against living here in the strongest terms possible. When I moved in, the unit was very dirty, with several appliances broken. The carpet was not cleaned, and I had to spend my own fund shampooing the carpet. Overall the unit is very old. While the Berk is close to campus, my apartment is located right above a restaurant that plays loud music and hosts large gatherings till 12AM daily. In fact, "court yard view" is actually a view of the restaurant courtyard with many patrons talking/shouting loudly and consuming alcohol. Everyday I can feel my floors/walls vibrating and hear the music permeate through my windows. Despite multiple attempts in contacting management, and contacting the restaurant, the noise continues to be at an unacceptable level. I would be surprised if there was no sound ordinance in place, and am in the process of consulting consul to investigate my options.

Best place to live in if you're a student! SUPER close to campus (even closer than the dorms! All you have to do is step outside!) the staff are really friendly and the RA's host lots of fun events throughout the year (absolutely LOVED waffle wednesdays! fresh fluffy waffles!!) All utilities/ wifi/ furniture is included and there are lots of study spaces if you prefer to study outside your room. Their community kitchen is really nice and super big, definitely enjoyed cooking here often! I've since moved into one of the apartment styled rooms that they have to offer (same location) and now have my own kitchen in the room which has been really nice. There's lots of security in the building so strangers can't just randomly walk in and access living areas. Would highly recommend living here and can't wait to spend another year at the Berk!
