Food: 3/5 Service: 4/5 Ambiance: 3.5/5 Overall: Be prepared to wait in lines. The food does very in flavor from rich and flavorful to standard fare. Food: Beef Soup - 3/5 - The broth in this is very flavorful but the amount of meat and noodles is a little small in portion size. The pricing is fairly reasonable for this. 3 item plate - 3/5 - I got the pad thai, yellow curry, and pork belly. I would say the taste here was pretty standard fare. I would not say it's the best thai food I've had but it was decent. Coconut Dessert - 3/5 - There are typically 3 flavors. I got regular and cinnamon. It was a crispy exterior and milky center, It's basically coconut milk. Service: 4/5 - The servers are pretty friendly. Ambiance: 3.5/5 - In the backyard of the temple, there's a bunch of folding tables. Be prepared to cozy up next to some people.

This says it opens at 10:00 a.m. but I got there exactly at 10:00 and the lines were already formed and people had their food and we're sitting down eating so I'm not sure what time it actually opens. There was a lot of seating. It was just completely in the Sun. I got there as it opened and I still waited about 20 minutes in line for the beefsoup. I tag teamed it per other reviews one person got the tokens the other person stood in line. Honestly it wasn't amazing. I won't be going back but it was a nice change of pace. Food wasn't good enough to wait in line and with no shade it was a lot.

come from a Buddhist family on my Dad's side in Thailand 🇹🇭. When I was 12 years old, I went to a summer camp here in the USA, where they taught about Jesus Christ. I asked the counselors if Jesus was friends w/ Buddha and the Asian gods I had statues of in my living room. The counselors were a little shocked by my question, but said no! I later converted but still sometimes go to the Thai Buddhist temple grounds in San Bruno or Berkeley on Sundays! I go for the food! In Berkeley, I'm here for Kanom Krok ขนมครก- hot Thai Coconut 🥥 pudding pancakes($8) and the delicious and savory Beef Noodle soup ($9). This place brings back memories of Thailand where you have to change cash into tokens to buy food. Oh yeah, they also have Mangoes w/sticky rice that comes w/a coconut sauce. Pad Thai is available as well! Lots of outdoor tables and big outdoor area for seating. Masked and gloved staff. Hand sanitizers available. Moderate difficulty w/ street parking
