Literally worthless. I've called a dozen times multiple times a week and haven't been able to reach anyone regarding a time sensitive case. The one time I went in person and talked to a detective, he didn't even know what to do. Who is protecting us because these guys clearly aren't?

The phone menu takes 10 mins and doesn’t even transfer your call.. I’ve been calling about update on man that burned my house and the cops haven’t been able to give me update I ran into your investigator at in n out mandasked and said he doesn’t get paid to talk off duty and I said you haven’t been doing your job even on duty, then asked in n out to ask me to leave because he didn’t have the legal authority to make me leave

I came in to report a hit and run. I had to wait to talk to an officer. The officer that I spoke with was patient and easygoing. However, he refused to file a report because the perpetrator, though very uncooperative, left a contact. The officers do not want to deal with your issues. The best method is to logically argue with the officer until you're more of a problem to them. Just insist and don't walk away until they do what you need.

My personal experience at this station has been very positive. I came in to file a report and everyone I spoke to either on the phone or in person was very understanding and kind. Unlike other reviewers I was able to get someone on the phone immediately after pressing option 6. While it is still unknown whether my incident will be resolved, I walked out of the station feeling understood and respected. Thank you LAPD!

We have so many packages stolen from our apt and I'm unable to file a police report.
I just got through, did you press option 6?
Feel free to make an online report at http://www.lapdonline.org/home/content_basic_view/60409
I just called and hit 6 to speak with the desk clerk.
It would help a lot to get evidence, or else its pretty much your word against his and his word will always win unless you have video/audio evidence of the officer in the act of being Abusive or Rogue. Im not saying I doubt you. But if you got some solid evidence, presentable in court, then you have a way better chance. I had a friend that tried a complaint on an officer but it was thrown out for lack of evidence.
When they do answer they put me into a phone menu! Beyond useless!
Yes, try to get video/picture evidence of them in the act and you can have them prosecuted by showing the police
Go to the Mexican Embassy.
Go directly to the police station and file a report.
Yes you can make a report online at http://www.lapdonline.org/home/content_basic_view/60409
Best bet is to report the encampment on your 311 app. It will give you a report # and follow up. Not going to get fixed overnight, but it might get some cleaning up by the city services / sanitation special task force.

You don't need police, call DOT
No... you have to go to either chp or lasd. LAPD does not sign off fix it tics
Call animal control, PETA, fire dept, anonymous tip line. Landlord. 911 if none of those work
