The worst City ever I have seen in USA. Please just type in Google and found out the number of corruptions and frauds that have recorded!!! Shouldn't expect any rating more than zero.

I have been a homeowner in Glendale for 22 years and I have come to the point where my home is in need of remodeling with a small addition. I have decided to hire an architect and a licensed contractor to do this job. These professionals have done their work in a timely manner however I can’t say the same about the City of Glendale Building and Safety employees. Not only has my architect and contractor reached out, I have reached out multiple times with no response. If I could give zero stars, I would have. While it’s a great city to live in, it’s very unfriendly when it comes to taking care of homeowners who would like to follow the “book” and be lawful. It’s weird when you drive around this town you will notice probably a dozen housing projects going up while we wait for months on a small 300-400 sq-ft addition. 3-4 weeks ....4-6 weeks... its all fake ...The building and safety team needs an overhaul.

Called six time over two weeks. No one ever returned my call. Professionalism??? 5 Negative stars

service so bad and so contrarian, it makes you rethink moving to glendale. Our plan checker actually said, with pride, that they don't just go to 3 corrections, but they do at least 8-9. That means it takes 8-9 times 3months to get plans approved. with all of the mc-mansions going up, you'd think they'd have better priorities, but they don't. just obstacles to legitimate construction projects: no wonder no one in the area applies for permits or has architects do their plans; just contractor builds done on the sly. terrible.

Yes you can use Romex at all residential wiring
If you are planning to place the dumpster on the street, (aka, the public right-of-way), yes, you will need a permit, which is called a Street-use Permit. If you are a resident and are able to prove residency, you may have the first two days, free of charge. On the third day, the permit fee will be $356.00, and about $26.00 per day added on. The average length for having a dumpster on the street is 2 weeks. If you need to have it longer, that may be arranged. You may get/obtain the Street-use Permit at the Permit Service Center, located at 633 E. Broadway, Room 101, between the hours of 7am - 12noon. You must have the permit in place 2 days before the dumpster is due to be placed on the street.
Title 24 doesn't mean it is being dark... Has to have specific U factor and SHGC
I think you need a business license. Call (818) 548-3200 between the hours of 7am - 12pm and ask.
I'm not sure of what type of work specifically you are asking about, but rather you work on private or in the public right-of-way, you will need a permit and a City of Glendale business license. You will need a State of California Contractors License. A= public or private B=private only or a "corresponding C license. If working on the public right-of-way, you will need insurance. Hope this helps.
It depends on the extent of the demo or the type of re-roof...
It depends on the jurisdiction. In Glendale, no. Some jurisdictions want to verify that Its low flow
