I used to love coming here yet today was very disappointing. Theyve went from $40 to $55 donations and the EBT terminal is broken and I was told it wouldnt be fitted for another week
Life is Beautiful
The staff is amazing. The parking is the issue other than that everything else is perfect. Make sure to have your trunk empty they will give you enough groceries for about 3 or 4 families.
Herb Botts
Great place to pick up produce. $45 gets you a cart with goodies already loaded on, and they let you fill it up to the top with produce of your choice.

This is a food bank, so the variety of fruits, veggies and other items will vary from day to day. The parking is really bad to almost non-existent. However, if you plan your visit and allow time to find or wait for parking, bring an ice chest for refrigerated items and take your time to organize yourself, you will find this little "social market" to be a rare gem! Donate $40 to receive at least $200 or more in groceries. Don't have high expectations and you will be pleasantly surprised. For example, they will have bread, but they may only have white bread. Other times, they'll have ciabatta or artisan loaves with no labels. I personally love it! You will too. When you go, use my name, Monique Noriega, as your referral. They will give you a punch card to use to save even more money!

Yes donate $40 and receive over $200 worth of product make sure you place it in your car properly and you can get as much as you can
Just walk in . They are really nice .
If you cannot afford to pay the $40 you can volunteer for 4 hours and you will get your food at no cost. Also you can pay with your EBT or Food Stamp benefits.
NO. THAT'S NOT TRUE
Yes they do...it varies from day to day but as an example the other day they gave out whole chickens, another day bags of cubed beef for stews, and seafood as well.
I have diabetes too. Regular supermarkets are filled with things a diabetic should not eat as well. You should know what you can eat and choose accordingly. World Harvest has meat and produce and often sugar free drinks.
Just call a day before, say you want to volunteer, bring a comfortable shoe and a bottle of water for you. That's it!
Yes anyone..you fill out an application..they issue you a card then you shop..be aware that some of this produce come from resturants as overage..so it may not look prefect...they have alot of Asian foods...they also have a small general store...parking is a pain...but well worth it...dont forget its $35/40 for a large shopping cart of food...it saved me and my family when we hit hard times....
You can definitely sign up to volunteer. You will enjoy working with the staff and other volunteers. A large basket of food! Well worth it!😊
It is a food bank where you can find a variety of products for the kitchen, such as vegetables and fruits, and you can also find meats and bread and much more for the reasonable price of $45 dollars, a very well stocked grocery cart, just like in the market, and about the better day, any day is good, believe me, it is convenient for you to go and serve yourself. Greetings
Correct, when you volunteer for 4 hours you're allowed to receive the food as if you paid for it. I've done it a couple times and it's definitely worth it!!!
Just contact just contact them I'm sure they would be happy to have.
Nothing else you go you register you pay and they give you a market car and you choose your vegetables bread and apart they fill you with milk or meat what they have prro is very good help
Call 211 and they will give you the food you need
Not 200 dollars. 35 dollars each trip. One trip per week. Each member (no fee just info) can select from what they have. Saturday morning early is best...new items.
It cost $45. But you get to choose your fruits and vegetables. They give you about $200 worth of food.
You need to call today and let them know. So they can sign you up to the volunteer list.
Yes of course
You can volunteer for 4 hours and you will get a lot of good fresh food. Call them.
No
Yes we do
Yes
To volunteer yes.
I'm sure they will, if not give to good will,or put on let go free for some one who needs them.. I'm positive someone will take them. There's always someone who needs light bulbs..
Nice people there, however make sure you check the dates on some of the food. Some of it is outdated (old) of which I'm sure they are not aware of. Love them though!
Call to verify
If it is dead and if it is worth going since everything is of good quality and the staff is friendly I recommend it
Nope they don't ask for residency or anything like that. Great place
They need volunteers every day they are open. 4 Hours is the shift. After your first time. ..meaning your 2nd visit... You can recieve groceries in exchange for your 4 Hours. Well Run place. Abundance in groceries and more.
For a $40 donation, you can get 1-2 grocery baskets worth of food, depending on the week. If you go there, you can sign up for text messages that will say what they have each week. If you volunteer there for enough hours, then you can get a $40 cart of food
Do they offer jobs.? All the work is voluntary..they will give you food if you need it..
All the times you can up to twice a day
Ryan, I must apologize regarding my response. Because in order to get a more appropriate response. I feel you should contact them directly. All my time there was as a shopper.
It really depends what time day u go.
Not requirements. It's just paying $40 and they give you a grocery cart full of food. Lots of fruit and vegetables bread juice and fish. But it also depends on what they have. They even give him prepared food.
For everyone. For everyone.
They have Grace Resources on Sierra Hwy, and Saint Vincent de Paul on Trevor near Avenue "I" in Lancaster. They do free meals and food boxes.
Nothing no need to apply for anything. You just pay the $40dollars or sign up to volunteer 4hrs and u get 2shopping carts worth of food.
Its fresh... Though it should be used within a week. Sometimes its very fresh and produce is just an irregular shape Perhaps the boxes were dented They put alot of effort into weeding out expired food
Occasionally they do Call them before you come over and they'll let you know
You call them speak to someone tell them you like to volunteer and they will offer you dates an time. Only 4hours of time allowed.
Yes they do. Call them a day before you want to volunteer, its for 4 hours. They're closed on Sunday. Dress like you're going to be on your feet working. They will ask a few questions and what time you're available. Great staff welcoming environment more people should visit.
They ask you what kind of food would you like befor they put together your grossrie bags.
Yes
Great thanks for your response I will be visiting real soon
I seen a rack with differnt clothing items they have food they have health and beauty products vitamins I even seen diapers and formula in sippy cups
Largely depends on how long you want to take picking what you want and how much of it. But I agree it should take about 20 minutes or so.
People would get rides from a family member or a friend if possible hopefully with a truck or van due to all food and suggest that you bring bags so it would be easier to transport
There is a good bank that picks up bread products from winco in Bakersfield. You could ask there for contact info or even the name.
