Its fresh... Though it should be used within a week. Sometimes its very fresh and produce is just an irregular shape Perhaps the boxes were dented They put alot of effort into weeding out expired food
You have to pick and choose through what's there like any other store. For the most part, it's fresh. You definitely get your dollars worth.
