ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! What an incredible experience! You should feel extremely comfortable and have total confidence in NVISION Eye Center, Newport Beach. Dr. Tooma is one of a kind. He is quiet and calm in nature and spends extensive time and effort to put you at ease with the procedure being performed. This includes before and during the actual procedure. He even took the time to come and personally meet me at my FREE consultation. To me, that says so much! LASIK is only about a 5 minute procedure per eye and the doctor's expertise is of the utmost importance in getting the outcome you desire. I opted for the Contura Laser for the best distance vision possible. The other important part of the equation for me in choosing NVISION was the staff. Quite simply, this is one of the most impressive staffs I have ever seen. Their professionalism and level of care, especially considering the number of patients they see, is awesome! So much so, that I feel the need to call them out by name... Brooke, a friend and outside sales associate for the office, took a significant amount of time over multiple conversations to explain to me EXACTLY why NVISION and Dr. Tooma was the place for me. Jenn, my personal patient counselor, guided my through the entire process, including the financial arrangements (I opted to use Care Credit.) Her bubbly and outgoing personality is a real asset. Dr. Grichine, Dr. Trieu, and Dr. Shunda are three amazing optometrists on staff, which I had the pleasure of seeing throughout the course of my examinations and follow-up appointments. Their expertise and insight was sincerely appreciated! Sami, my optometry tech, Chris and Dawn, my surgery techs, and Pamela, my pre/post surgical nurse put me at ease and talked me through every aspect of the procedure. The Xanax and 5 minute video before the procedure really helped me relax and feel comfortable. And Chelsea, the energetic, hard working, and dedicated office manager, who is presumably responsible for keeping this amazing ship functioning at such a high level. There are so many moving parts to making LASIK a pleasant experience....Wow! Thanks to everyone at NVISION, I was seeing 20/15 the morning after the surgery! Who knows, in the next month, that may even become 20/10! God Bless and thank you!! Clint S.

Dr Tooma did my eye surgery in 2009 and almost a decade later I'm still happy with my surgery. He was the only doctor who would operate on my eyes bc of my severe myotopia. I recommend him if you want to get lasik surgery.

Dr.Tooma has changed my life. Im so amazed at the gift he has given me, by not only the Intac's he implanted into my eyes but the warmth and dedication he showed me as his patient. I dreamed for so very long for God to send someone that would be able to help my KC and he sent me to Dr. Tooma. Im so grateful for your special skills, medical education and experience that has allowed me to see clearer now that the blurr is gone!! You're so awesome. Thank you Dr. Tooma and the Nvision Staff. Sincerely blessed and grateful, Kacey Mobley Lakewood, Ca

Questions & Answers

My son Tom Fulton had Lasik about 10 yrs ago with 20-15 vision in both eyes! THANKS Dr. Tooma. Now, one eye has worsened in the last month. He takes meds for PTSD, & may have been prescribed too large a dose on one of them. Could that be the cause?

I did refractive lens replacement before lasik I don't think it makes a difference Either way it's not bad .

About how many numbers of times will I need to schedule a consultation with the doctor before I go to surgery? And how many days will I have to be away from the sun after?

Usually 1 consultation. You can go outside the day after surgery, just wear sunglasses
