terribly unprofessional company. will miscommunicate information, make mistakes when booking your interview, and blame the other employees for their faults. and after wasting your time, they’ll interview you for two minutes before explaining they need to answer a call and then leave you hanging.

Extremely unprofessional. I had an appointment for 12 noon. When i arrived at 11:50 am, nobody was at the office. They had a piece of paper on the door saying they will be back after 1:30 pm. When i called the main office, they asked if i can just return at 1:30 pm. I told them i had something to do around that time. Her response was "the interview process would have been 1 to 2 hours anyway". Again, extremely unprofessional. I drove over 20 miles for this. Gas and time wasted. A phone call to let me know plans have changed would have been nice

Initially, this place was pretty good to me so I waited a bit to even write a review. I was referred to Select Staffing by a friend of mine; upon arrival for the "interview" process, I was slightly taken by the inside state of the suite they're set in. It was awkward but I honestly wasn't expecting much - I just wanted a job. There was a process of answering a questionnaire after viewing a safety procedure video, which seems to be a standard practice nowadays anyway. They DID actually help with what they were supposed to. I was assigned to a factory/warehouse job for cosmetics and started work the same day as well. That was a godsend, I suppose. But what I didn't realize, was that these warehouses are somehow closely intertwined with the people who run Select. After less than one month of working my assignment, I stopped receiving any texts or calls from my assigned supervisor to come into work. Nobody ever called me to tell me that my assignment was cancelled or ended. I texted my "supervisor" a few times about coming to work, to which she never responded. I sent a final text about seeking other avenues if necessary, to which she responded "I will call you in a bit". Needless to say, I never received a call nor another text. A couple of days later, I decided to check my paycard account at Comdata and my account was no longer in existence. I called customer service and they supposedly reset everything but every attempt I made at re-opening the account would lead me to a "session expired" screen. If you work for Select or any other staffing agency, you should be aware of the online system that they have for employees to log in and view their assignments, update their profiles, résumés, etc. When I logged in, my assignment was removed with still no follow-up from any of the "agents" at Select. I'm just waiting to see if I receive my pay for the last 2 days I worked. As of now, I wouldn't be surprised if they were reluctant to pay me or somehow in possession of the idea that they'd slide away with that. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ABOUT MY ASSIGNMENT: As previously stated, it was a factory for cosmetics production. (Packaging, assembly, etc.) Never before have I imagined how much twisting on caps to product containers so consistently would absolutely destroy the nerve endings at the tips of your thumbs. I cannot feel my right thumb anymore and haven't been able to since the middle of September. Toward the (unforseen) end of my assignment, it got to the point where that's all they were having me do. Daily, 8+ hours of twisting caps. I endured blisters and a lot of hand and finger pain. I didn't report my injuries for fear of losing my assignment. I felt very out of place being one of the only employees who didn't speak Spanish. I do understand Spanish, though, and came to find how often other employees will snub you and talk trash about you in Spanish. I genuinely don't recommend this agency for your employment needs. Sam and Raul (agents on location) were great along with Gizel (my "supervisor") up until the very end, when their presence entirely diminished and I was left in the dark for a week with unpaid bills and a spiteful disdain toward each of them. All in all, stay away from this place unless your thumbs already can't feel anything and you speak Spanish adequately enough to feel comfortable around all of your coworkers who will be speaking just that.
