The grounds are beautiful, clean and welcoming. The staff & volunteers, I've met, are professional & committed to the wellbeing of the families they serve. They are careful with their resoures, yet generous in providing for their client's needs. There is room for more hands on/ physical & financial support, but until then, they do miracles with what they have...

I donate to this mission. They made it easy also during the high pandemia when many didn’t have a pick up fir understandable reasons. Pick up can be schedukebonkune or by phone

I first learned about the shelter when I volunteered and helped serve brunch to the guest on a Saturday morning. I got a chance to work alongside the staff and cook a hot meal. I was also able to sit down with the families and have breakfast with them. They were very grateful for the love and support the staff and the program itself had offered them. Fast forward a couple of years later, I am blessed to now be working here as part of the team that creates a space filled with hope and the love of God for all who walk through our doors. I am grateful for the generosity of the community and donors who generously share their time and finances to keep this program running. I am grateful to be working under such wonderful, God-fearing leadership who genuinely cares for the holistic well-being of the families who enter our program.

This number keeps calling me and I live in Ventura County so that's strange. It doesn't make sense that they are a non-profit; calling around to ask for donations for a service they provide the homeless, who aren't allowed to be on the facility during daytime hours, but are expected to compensate this "non-profit" for being able to stay at the "shelter". This doesn't add up and I don't appreciate the 5 calls I've gotten from this shady operation in the past 2 days.

Thank u guys so much i appreciate it!!
Have you tried the dream center? Also if you look up transitional housing for young adults in ca. And if you look up transitional housing resource guides tgat might be helpful. They are roomsvthat are free of charge depending on your personal circumstances. Also the womens center, downtown womens center.but the dream center wouldbe the best bet.
Thats terrible not to accept pets. They r your kids. What if they r service type pets? I thought the law was now all landlords have to accept a service pet esp if they have a note from a doctor saying the person needs the pet?
To volunteer I would reach out to the volunteer coordinator
Just ring at the front gate, although I'm not sure they'll just let you stay. They have a screening process and mostly take families with children.
You will have to contact them directly
Hi the shelter only has services for the families living there. But if you buzz in during office hrs: Mon-Fri 8am-4pm or call they have resources for food banks in the area.
Good question we are wondering too, alot of people suggest truck stops, but you have to drive an hour and spend 15 bucks to do it. No homeless services with much Info online either
Need to be referral by la family housing. "Family Solution" dial 211
Yes, they do.
Sadly it will be nightmare time as only skid row missions are running. Tough getting sleep there,at least where i was. Why cant the hinted at shelter in van nuys be a reality?having to ride buses in and out of skid row..great for those wishing to avoid drugs and booze...and have noise all night as mentally ill people wander about asking for "shorts" on a cigarette..warning..tailor made smokes are a premium there..puff on the downlow or a line will form to beg a smoke.off you. Most smoke the awful clippers at 2 bucks a deck and they are sold inside at 50 cents each. In and out smokers slamming the door out and leaving it open for icy drafts insure youll get good sleep at work. The downstairs toilet was in unspeakable condition. Roving devil worshippers were said to be moaning nonsense on a upper floor, but i didnt seek them out. Mentally ill shouters are in every direction..lighting a cig will summon 3 or4 instantly food wasnt too bad, from what i had,but it was a fart party in sleep area
This shelter is mainly for families with small children. Call for intake information. You will not be able to receive services same day. It's not an emergency shelter
The angels flight one is amazing. I used to go there as a kid in high school . Helped me get my GED
