We had a pretty good sized family reunion. The shelter house was an Awesome size for our group. There were bathrooms close by. Not fancy, but functional.

Great views! Cabin was spacious but seating was limited. Kitchen had all necessary tools except a can opener. Shower curtain had a small amount of mold on it. But really a sweet spot. No loud noises late at night. My son enjoyed playing outside and we can't wait to come back.

Hugo Lake State Park is a beautiful Army Corps of Engineers reservoir that is a fisherman’s paradise. If you are serious angler and really like to fish all different types of species of freshwater fish this is your place in Oklahoma for that. The lake is not crowded either. The hiking trail is nice but super short and will only occupy a small slice of your time. That’s the good, the bad is that our cabin with that we rented was infested with flies. They were super nice about everything and offered to change cabins for us And eventually they came and sprayed inside of that cabin for flies. Bottom line is that you need some type of water craft to full enjoy Hugo Lake if your there for fishing or just swimming and enjoying the water.

If you like your lake with a bit less civilization, this is a great little lake. Tents to RVs all have nice spots, and a small marina. The cabins are cool and reasonably priced. Good spot for a large gathering also. You can tell they were budget victims at one time,, but they have been doing a lot of upgrading lately.
