Safeway is such a relief to have when you're often stuck with Walmart as an option in the Midwest. The produce is excellent, the fish sector is wonderful, the meat and poultry variety is incredible. Thank goodness for Safeway. It's been a lifesaver!

Generally the best option for groceries from a big box store in Rapid City. The people who work there are friendly and helpful. The checkout could use a redesign, as lines usually block the main aisle.

Good quality produce and meats. Here's a hint also for those who like the bread baked daily in store: Pick up a loaf of French or anything that generally comes unsliced and ask the bakery to slice it for you. It'll fit in your toaster and you won't have to make a mess trying to slice your own bread! Only negatives of this store is the restrooms could use updating, and the check out lines are incredible during peak hours. The cashiers need to speed up to keep up with their "three is a crowd" policy.
