I have used Sheridan brothers 4-5 times over the last 2 years. They have always been quick to respond and right on schedule for the moves. I have compared pricing, and they are very competitve, while providing solid value. I am sure to use them again.

Two weeks ago I used Sheridan Brothers to move (this was my third time using them, the previous two times were good experiences). The three men who showed up complained the entire time moving my belongings and rolled their eyes when I was explaining what needed to go from each room. I told them that this wasn't a happy move for me, as I was getting divorced, hoping that this would change their tune. It didn't. They also showed up reeking of weed. They did not load the truck all the way full, took many breaks and did not finish moving my belongings. I tried calling the company when they told me they were done for the day, but no one picked up and I was unable to leave a voicemail. I paid extra for mattress covers that were not used, a bookshelf was broken, and they couldn't fit a high top table through the front door of my new place, so instead of taking off the legs, they left it outside unprotected and it was ruined in the rain. The next day, I had to call in to work, rent a uhaul and move the rest of my belongings. I spoke with Mike, the owner, the next day who said he would speak with the crew and get back to me. He never called me back. I emailed them a week later, saying I never heard back, and one week later I still haven't heard back. I will not be using Sheridan Brothers again and will tell my family and friends to not use their services either.

Prices have gone up significantly for the Sheridan Brothers, I’d thought they were good movers and I’d spring for it. Paid almost $1k to have two guys move furniture for 3 hours. I sit down and after a long day of moving want to watch some TV, it’s broken. Try to follow-up with the business and they claim TVs need to go in a special container — they’re not supposed to move TVs, and my generous tip may “make people do things they’re not supposed to do.” Weird how I tipped after the move, so how would that incentivize them? The guys told me they’d take the TVs as they were, I didn’t expect it. I said “are you sure you can take these?” They’d said they’re small enough and mentioned nothing of needing a TV box, I told them to be careful. Business says I didn’t sign up for some reimbursement policy so I’d get $0.30 per pound for the broken TV. For the money I’d spent and to be mistrusted and spoken to coldly by the business I’m very disappointed. Will not be doing business with this company again.

Best moving company ever. We moved with them three times and each time it was about as pleasant and stress-free you can hope for. They must really stress customer service during training because literally every single one of their workers are so nice and kind. They're just really good at making you feel comfortable. We live in Dallas now so we won't be moving with them anymore, but the least I can do is leave a positive review. If you're moving in the Rochester area, don't look elsewhere. These guys are the best.
