I ordered pizza for the four 12 year old boys we took to Carowinds. After 2 hours of waiting, the pizza was never delivered. The payment went through and the app even said it was on the way. Should have read the reviews! Not a smart way to run a business.

Most of the reviews of this Pizza Hut on South Tryon Street are negative. Based on the experience endured by my wife and myself last night (28 April 2022), those comments are accurate and justly reported. For years, that Pizza Hut at South Tryon has been substandard. The problem lied mostly in its delivery set-up. For the most part, the pizzas we ordered were properly made---but they always arrived cold because they were delivered at least an hour after the latest arrival time advertised on its website. On average, the wait time was two hours-to-two and a half hours. Even though the restaurant is three miles from our house. On two occasions, after we placed delivery orders, the restaurant called a half-hour later and informed us that it had no delivery drivers available; if we wanted our pizzas, we'd have to pick them up ourselves. We haven't ordered from that Pizza Hut in over a year, until last night. That's because we saw that an independent deliverer, GrubHub, delivered from that Pizza Hut. My wife and I figured that would prevent any delivery problems. So we placed an order through GrubHub. Mistake! About fifteen minutes after placing the order, GrubHub notified us that it was relying on that Pizza Hut's delivery drivers to deliver our order. I knew that meant trouble and I was right. The order didn't arrive until an hour and twenty minutes AFTER the latest arrival time promised. And the pizzas arrived stone cold. But that wasn't the worst of it. The order included two personal pan pizzas for my wife. But only one was delivered with the order. And when she opened that one box, half of the personal pan pizza inside was gone! As if someone had eaten half of it. My wife called the restaurant to complain, and the employee to whom she spoke told her that our order had been correct because DoorDash checked it before delivering it. My wife informed the employee that our order had been placed through GrubHub---and the employee told her that she was wrong. I won't repeat what my wife told the employee after that---but I supported her vehemence. Now, to its credit, GrubHub---because we did, indeed, order through GrubHub---reïmbursed us for the total cost, including the part of the order that arrived properly made, but cold. So we were made whole there. But the folks who operate that Pizza Hut at South Tryon Street are, at worst, deliberately deceptive in its service to customers. At best, they're idiots who don't care about their customers. To-day I'm going to make this same report to Pizza Hut's customer service hotline. If the Pizza Hut Corporation were to, in response, stipulate that we could order from that Pizza Hut on S. Tryon for free for the rest of our lives, we would not order from it ever again. It's too screwed up to get even free food from them. Avoid this restaurant at all costs!

I ordered at 12:19 online for two pizzas to be delivered. After having made that order I called the store to request plates with my order. They confirmed my order and confirmed plates would be sent with delivery. It is now almost 3 hours later and no update, no pizza, no contact. I called and they claim they did call, I have no record of it and I would have answered because my instructions say to call me upon arrival. That they do not accept cash at delivery. I ALWAYS pay cash at delivery. I never received anything related to a concern or delivery change. I am at work and starving. I never had an issue with pizza delivery before. Why now?

Worst pizza ever. Don’t even think about this location. I ordered pizza and it came late 1 hour. Even that’s fine! But pizza smells bad and it’s not even baked properly. When I call and complaint they want to bring the product to return the money. Who will go back to store with that trash food. I already waste my time and money and not ready to waste time again to get the refund. I wish there is zero star to give.
