Yes. I can see it from my house and the flame is at the base of the stack. This happens far too often.

Noise like Sonic boom on and off.for about 15 minutes now hearing first responders sirens now boom like sound has restarted at 11:17pm

The noise woke me out of my sleep. It sounds like a blow torch; perhaps the refinery blowing off steam? Its 11:27 p.m. and it the noise seemed to have recently stopped. There is no siren (normally the siren test is Wed at 10 a.m.)

The smell might have something to do with the dumps that it right next to the refinery.

You need to install wet scrubbers ASAP. All of your initiatives are aimed at everything but the most dangerous; PM2.5. Stop your climate injustice and environmental destruction. This is why I only buy Valero; they have wet scrubbers.

Valero bypassed their wet scrubbers because they didn't work as planned for the 702 million dollars that it cost them.

When I lived in point Richmond we used to get shelter in place alerts a few times a year..does it still happen? I read that the worse cases of asthma and breathing problems for children live in the low income housing surrounding the refinery. True?
