Holiday Inn Express & Suites St. Joseph, an IHG Hotel

Reserved two king suites. Was given one king suite and one regular king. Three nights, advanced reservations on hotels.com. Requested refund of downgraded room-was told hotels.com was to be contacted for this that they-(check in person), could not give the refund difference on final bill. I complained and was told it would be noted on my bill at check out. On check out was told no again that hotels.com would have to be the ones to refund. Anyway, we have never had a problem like this and am appalled this hotel would not refund the downgraded room difference on my cc. FYI we reserve through hotels.com frequently and are IHG reward holders. I felt something amiss from the three desk clerks I encountered. I don’t know what happened to my requested/reserved king suite but the king standard was acceptable until I found out I was still going to be charged for the king suite. I felt very cheated.

Hotel was clean, fresh and quiet. The bed and pillows were amazing. Preston at the front desk was OUTSTANDING and really made a great first impression of the hotel. Please recognize this young man for his amazing attitude and hospitality!

We were sidelined by a snow/ice storm while headed from KS back home to WI and decided to spend the night in St Joseph, MO. Normally I research places to stay but this was completely impromptu and I could not have been more pleased. The two gentlemen at the front desk were courteous, pleasant and quick. Our room was clean and very comfortable. We wanted to get an early start to our drive the next morning and were surprised to see a full breakfast and a welcoming staff in the breakfast area. Selection of breakfast items was GREAT. So was the coffee! I would highly recommend this hotel. I was not an IHG Rewards member prior to this stay. I am now!

Very clean and well-appointed motel. The beds are very comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was awesome! Lots of selections of hot and cold food. The lady who watched over the breakfast was very friendly and worked really hard to make it a great experience.
