The reviews of this hotel are accurate. Inside the doors there’s a well appointed hotel with good rooms and bathrooms. Clean and fresh. They offer a breakfast but it’s really just breads, bagels, and packets of cream cheese. Outside the hotel is a different story. Streets are pretty grubby, a bit noisy and no real dining or engaging site worth walking to.

probably the best value hotel in new york, you get a luxury experience for the price of a motel, large rooms, nice staff, very clean and modern. of course you pay the real cost by being in the south bronx. the only complaint is the poor sound insulation. highly recommended as long as you don't check up on the recent news of the neighborhood!

I stayed here while recovering from a surgery in NYC, the room itself is wonderful and the staff were generally courteous. We loved Jonathan! The only issues I have with this place are the location, lack of parking, and what a hassle parking is in general. We had to keep moving our car from one public lot to another while staying here, because they only had 3 parking spaces allocated at the hotel.

Had a great time staying here for 2 nights. The hotel was beautiful, clean, and quiet even though it is located in the middle of a high traffic Bronx neighborhood. The room was super clean and spacious. The decor on every floor honors the hotel's past as an actual opera house and theater in the 1920s and 1930s. I definitely agree with other reviewers who call it a hidden gem. Parking was the big negative, but I was able to find spots in the street (meters during the day, free after 7pm) right in front of the hotel and across the street each time I left and returned. Truthfully, if you're planning on spending time in the city, you don't need a car since the subway station is right there. The only other negative (a minor one) was when I went to the front desk to ask for an extra blanket to be sent to our room, but we never got it or heard back from staff about it. I still highly recommend it here.

I'll put it this way, we were surprised how nice of a hotel it was for the area it's in. But we didn't run into any situations.

hello, there is a parking garage across the street from us that is $20 to $25/day which is extremely reasonable for the city. We will direct you there once you arrive.

There is a transfer to the Yankees Stadium but it's close and convenient! The front desk is only English! The store will close at 20:00. As there is subway, it is near to Manhattan.

Yes they are really reasonably priced the staff is really nice the rooms are nice. Their coffee breakfast bar is good. I would recommend it. The only hard thing is parking if you have a car. They have a little lot in the back but only with like 4 spaces and its tight. I think we paid around 120 a night but that was at Christmas time last minute so I'm sure you could get a better deal for June. I would call them first to see. Then hit up those booking websites to compare prices. Good luck man and congratulations. That is why I was there I was getting married.

Subway is 2 blocks away and depending on the train schedule, I am quite sure you can get there in half an hour.
