The locals know about it and so should you. It's one of the more accessible attractions in grant county. If you go on a weekday you can avoid the crowds, which due to the small size of the lake this is an extra step I recommend taking. The drive in is easy to make with any vehicle, but entirely paved if you come in from Prairie City.

It was fun but not a lot of comfortable room for a tent but it wasn't all that bad.

Is Magone Lake Campground open for camping at this time?

Yes, they are pretty busy. If they are full there is still area close you could camp.

Can you launch a boat and park it along the shoreline near where we camp, or do you have to take it out each use. Thank you
