The place is a hidden gem in Mystic that is right across from the water. I ordered the lemon chicken and the sauce was so creamy and yum. It reminded me of chicken fried steak. The mashed potatoes were garlicky which i like. We also got the short ribs which were perfect and so flavorful. I was surprised with how much i liked the sautéed spinach and kale but everything was so fresh and had great flavor. I wasn’t the biggest fan of the roasted grid with bread because it didn’t give much flavor but everything else was good.

Everything was amazing! The service, the food, wait time. We were seated right away and the food came out in perfect timing. Our server, Heidi was so nice and treated us so well! She has eaten at this restaurant since she was 8, so she knows how well everything is. The nachos were so good! The best I’ve ever had. I had bread with butter with roasted garlic for the first time, and it didn’t disappoint! I also had the fish and chips which was made to perfection. Lastly, the Xengo cheesecake (I don’t remember the full name, sorry) was AMAZING!!!! With everything for 3 people, it wasn’t too expensive at all! Definitely come eat here and have a great time!

We ate downstairs at the bar area, our waitress was fast, quick witted and funny. The Brussels sprouts and onion soup to start were delicious. The beers were cold and a nice selection, a good local selection. Ruben sandwich and skewers for dinner were also very very good. Some banana cheesecake dessert was divine . Cozy, warm atmosphere, local ppl there dining were friendly and talkative. Definitely will return when back in mystic.

My wife and I read a great review regarding Captain Daniel pack are inn. Upon our arrival we were greeted promptly we were early for a reservation,but they were happy to accommodate with a smile 😊 Amazing history we were greeted by Michelle our server she seemed very happy to be there. The ambiance was fantastic the fireplace was lit, Michelle informed us of the history of the in which dates back to the 1700s. Our meal was perfect and it's nice to see Michelle had a passion about her job and it was a breath of fresh air after getting excuses after excuses about bad service due to covid at other establishments. I highly recommend.
