Booking was easy. Received lots of info about the campground site, events and how to check in which was nice. Pool, lake, seating near the lake, store and office staff were very friendly. Overall no issues and would return again. Only negative was our first night there, which was Thursday, our children and the children of the guest next to us quickly became friends and were having a great time and NOT being overly loud, they were sitting at the picnic table laughing and "security" came telling us he lived behind where we are and the children laughing woke him up. I understand quiet hour started at 10pm & it was only slightly after however us & the other parents agreed if in this day in age we get "in trouble" for our kids laughing and having a great time we're good with that ❤️.

This was our first time camping as adults with our little kids. We were on the south part of the lake near the glamping tents. It was super easy to find the place, the staff are super friendly (especially Janelle in the office). We camped with 4 other families during our stay and there was some changes we will make next time as far as locations go, but overall the kids and even adults had fun in the lake, the pool and just enjoying nature. We went over 4th of July weekend and there were a ton of people, so if crowds aren't your cup of tea, try a different weekend. They are super pet friendly, most people were respectful of their dogs. We ended up not being able to bring our pup, but we got to see how dogs would be in the area. Overall, great place and will be back again with and without kids and our pup because we enjoyed ourselves that much. P.s.- bring quarters if you plan to shower because bathhouse (clean and updated) charge 25 cents for 5 minutes. We didn't realize that before getting there, so for future we will bring some.

This is a very nice campground. My wife and I stayed here many years ago and decided to take our kids tent camping this summer. They enjoyed it so much! We rented kayaks, row boats and peddle boat. The lake is nice but we didn't have alot of luck fishing. The pool is so nice and well maintained. The shower houses are well maintained and kept very clean. The staff was alway helpful, friendly and very accommodating. I couldn't give it five stars just because the swimming area didn't have sand and the kids only swam in the lake a minute and said it hurt their feet. Also the sites are very close together so most sites don't offer alot of privacy and can be quite noisy depending on your neighbors. But we would definitely back again.

Came here for a weekend getaway and enjoyed our stay! The area itself was beautiful, especially with our campsite being right along the lake with a great view. The only downsides would be that the campsites are on the smaller side (which causes you to be very close to the people next to you) and there are a decent amount of additional charges (like having to pay for the shower and having to pay a daily fee just to put your kayak into the water at your campsite). The pool area and the lake front area with chairs, tables and fire pits were nice amenities as well! Overall, a decent campground and we would come back again!

I would say yes but give them a call to double check
Yes, it'll take you to route 6 and then a left or right onto little keen road. Depending on which way you came from of course.
Hello Sandra Yes, Keen Lake Road is a public country road. Local traffic is light as Route 6 is a more direct route to neighboring towns. However, we do have our own traffic that uses it as well as several neighbors. We close for the season on Columbus Day. From Labor Day to close of season, we have weekend activities. There are also charming towns and a variety of events in the nearby towns. Honesdale is particularly unique. We recommend www.poconomountains.com; visitwaynecounty.com and visitnepa.org as a start. We also recommend your requesting the Pocono Mountain magazine for a great overview of the area. Kindest regards, Jan Keen
Yes, we permit guests to launch their own boats at the lake. The fee is $5 per day. Your boat trailer must be parked in storage area (there won't be sufficient room on the site. Most guests, launch their boats and don't take them out of the water. Ask for a lakefront site or one close to the lake and let reservation services know that you are bringing a boat. For the safety of our lake, please be sure your boat is clean--particularly the bottom and sides before you launch. If they cannot accommodate you on the lake front, ask what dock space is available. If they can accommodate you, they will.
No, there is no swimming from tent sites. We have a beach for lake swimming as well as a pool. The water is tested weekly for our guest's safety.
Jeni Lee is on the money Peggy. We have 5 bathhouses on the property. Two are located in the Pioneer Camping area--where the majority of our no hook up tent sites and all of our glamping units are located. 3 are located throughout the grounds on the main side of the lake. Lakefront sites are about 1-2 city blocks away. Best, Jan Keen
