Great experience. We were close to the bathroom/shower, trash, water. There was room for several tents. We roasted smores in the fire pit. A short drive down to the lake

Beautiful place just 1 1/2 hours away from San Diego! Clean water and security is always patrolling, which is good. Beach area is really nice! Will definitely bring the family back! Loved this place!!

We had a great time as a family...but this place is FILTHY. Trash EVERYWHERE. I literally don't think I've been camping in a dirtier location. Trash floating in the water, glass all over the beach, we used the bathroom on the island and it was the most disgusting public restroom we had ever seen. If they would clean this place up it would be an awesome location. The hiking is great. Pretty views etc.

We went camping here . It was spacious and clean. My only complaint is that the park rangers weren't able to keep people quiet during quiet hours. A lot of people continued to party on pretty loud.
You can pay cash or card (expect AMEX I believe) on site, you can also make reservations online. If you get there late make sure to use the entrance on Moreno Valley side off Iris and Via del Lago and you can pay in the morning. Make sure to check what sites are reserved before pulling in to an empty one.
If you are camping then the $10 entrance fee is waived. The campsite price depends on hook up or what they call a dry site. I believe it is $30 and $40.
Yes. There are bbq grills on the fire pits at the campsites that are generally well maintained, and you can bring your own grill or gas stove etc. for food prep, just keep in mind that bonfires must be in the fire pit at your campsite to comply with fire department rules, you risk a hefty fine if they catch you having bonfires outside the provided pits, especially in summer.
I agree. I went and tried to get a camping space on friday and they said they were booked for the whole weekend. You would have to call to check available dates and reserve them ahead of time.
$45 a night for R.V. camping, which has electricity, water, and graywater drain hookups and $30 a night for tent camping no hookups.
They do have A.D.A accessible sites and bathrooms.
Per their rules dogs are not allowed in the water or 100ft near the water. However, I've seen people do it anyway. So it's up to you if u wanna take the risk...
Do they have personal safety vests available at the Lake? Are they for rent?

You can call them or go online to the website. Lowest cost is $35/night. Some are $45/night plus reservation fees.
Is archery allowed?

My best guess is only in the hunting areas, and state/local rules apply... I'd call the park and talk to them. It's a California State Recreation Area (SRA).
can I purchase additional parking tickets on the group campsite?
I cant remember my camp ground number i have reservation Aug 6-8. can you give me that info for RV to be delivered

It is open. Prices seem to vary, but you can see prices and reserve a spot at https://www.reservecalifornia.com/CaliforniaWebHome/
You just need to narrow it down to Lake Perris
If you reserve a spot and its available in the morning can you put up your tent

You can not check in until your reserved time, even if your spot is available.
Yes but you have to make reservations online. They are not allowing people to just show up. You have to make a reservation at least two days in advance.
I don't recall but the info is in the website https://www.parks.ca.gov/?page_id=22122

#110 is excelent
What's the best way to make reservations? I'm. Not having any luck on the phone.
I believe the discount for veterans and active military is up to %50 at times depending on season and catagory . They have a website that is very user friendly and the discount amounts and the categories are explained in detail charts .

Arrival is usually at 2pm to get your pass to get in and car pass. Last time by about 7pm they close one entrance of the lake it was hard to get in after 7pm .
No, but there is group camping available at Bernasconi which is across the lake that is close to the water. Also the main campground at Lake Perris is within walking distance of the lake.
