A great, easy trail to go on a nice hike. Go slow and enjoy the beautiful views. Recommended!

Nothing too special. If you want to do a moderate hike ,this is it. Use a GPS or a map. There are a lot of smaller trails that branch off the red and yellow trail.

Beautiful place to hike with various ways to get in and on a trail. Was a rather easy 4 miles for us and the pooch. There is a skyline view of the city at the top of the mountain following the yellow path but it is a work out. We did not find the "better view" before crashing at the top. THe shade was nice as well as the water ways to cool off in.

This park is a nice hidden gem in North Haledon. With several access points, the 3 mile loop that takes you up to the top of the mountain is good exercise and peaceful. The view of surrounding NJ is gorgeous. Around 4pm, the park has some hikers but not enough to feel crowded. The trail is shaded as well if you want to stay out of the sun. I would definitely go here again.

On University Drive, there is a small trail head parking lot for the Red trail. Hope this helps.

There's a small parking lot between the university lot entrances. The trail sign is visible from the road.

The Great Artiste | Jul 13, 2020

No. It's not a standard Park, it's a nature preserve with hiking trails. no benches no playgrounds and definitely no places where you can set up a barbecue. You're not allowed to make fires anywhere. Go somewhere else.
