Took my Wife to have lunch at Lake Cuyamaca Restaurant on the lake but come to find out that it was changed to The Pub Restaurant and was closed on Wednesday. So we continued to head to Julian and stumbled upon Miners Diner which was a really neat place and the Home of the 1920's Soda Fountain. We both had CheeseBurgers and I had Onion Rings and my Wife had Fries. Lunch was delicious and we shared a StrawBerry Sundae with Chocolate Chip Ice Cream Strawberry topping and nuts. We will definitely be back. The service was equal to the food amazing. Attached you will find a photo of my Wife and I which which a waitress took for us.

So glad we chose this place to eat. It closed at 5:00 and we arrived at 4:15 and we were greeted by a friendly hostess. The atmosphere is wonderful. I ordered a tri-tip dip w/ French fries. The tri-tip was sliced thin and served with onions and cheese. The au jus dip was smoky in taste, full of flavor! The French fries were cooked perfect and delicious. They have a candy cave that serves all the old candy favorites. A definite must stop if you are in Julian

Also a hefty line for going on a weekend. Note they WILL NOT seat you if your entire party is not at the door - which was kinda frustrating if you are lucky to have a party big enough to where some people can be trying to find parking while others are standing in line waiting.

Nice place, with attentive staff. The ambiance is great. Decorated floor to ceiling in memorabilia from previous decades, like the 50s and before. They also have a neat train that travels the perimeter of the 2 halves of the restaurant. They have a basement "cave" that serves as a candy store, so if you brought kids, beware because they'll want to eat there instead of the actual restaurant. They don't serve breakfast past a certain time. We arrived at 11:30am, and they told us breakfast time was over, so check before entering if you want breakfast. The food itself is nothing great, but nothing bad. It's just what you'd expect from a roadside diner.

Yes, they are open. They might change their hours on New Years Day though. It's best to call them.
Tables are 6 feet apart, masks are required when leaving the table
I found it on Yelp just now. Ya gotta search for it it sent me to this funky picture of like the old west I gave it a second then it offered the menu then a down tab. I hope this helps but it's basic traditional food hot dogs hamburgers fish and chips hot wings I think.
