Had a very average visit at Avilas. Free chips n house salsa. The salsa is quite spicy. I'd say more than average. It does make you thirsty and order more drinks. We were served chips with crumbs several times. The smaller pieces were difficult to dip in the salsa. The guacamole my friend ordered was quite small for portion, 2oz? I had two chicken enchiladas with mole sauce (photo). The chicken was very tender. The mole itself was weak on flavor, canned? The spanish rice was gluey. With that much competition and todays prices you'd think the food would be higher quality. We were seated right away however. Also, maybe the kitchen wasn't 100% as they were doing a remodel. I have had better for less money.

Avila's is extremely busy on a Friday night, but we only had to wait about 5 to 8 minutes for seating for party of three. Our food was delicious. I had Chicken Mole Enchiladas, which I enjoyed tremendously. My brother had the carnitas and he said was tender and flavorful. His wife ordered a burrito but perhaps due to some confusion she ended up with the appetizer sampler, which she said was great nonetheless.

I gotta say, the food here is truly traditional Mexican in the best sense. The food here is so great, that this alone is deserving of 5 stars. But the service, in the midst of a pandemic is very impressive. We mistakenly went to the front door and waited, instead of going to the the new line at the back. They were so attentive us, and they escorted to the back line, but seated us immediately. We had a perfect dinner.

We have strict safety practices that include masks worn by all employees, tables are minimum 6’ apart, touchless QR code menu, and ongoing sanitizing of tables and chairs. Guests are required to wear masks when entering and leaving or when going in to use the restroom.
The website doesn't mention happy hour and I didn't see any information about one while we were there.
Yes, open for dine-in!
I don't think so but I'm pretty sure they do brunch
