Haven’t gotten sponsored yet, going on my third week. No help what so ever.
Alberto Ramirez
It’s very difficult to find a sponsor no help at all. Rude people as well

Come down to the "hall" grab yourself a open job list. And give everyone one chance on you.
I worked ace years with the local 2361 and I think k hill
Call the local or go in with your pocket book and pay it!
Yes you can pay over the phone. I'm not sure about the 3 months. But easier way to pay is if you opp in.
Total package per hour, i believe is $60 per hour. For the day, depends on how many hours you work. After 8 hours is over time, after 12 is double time
The union will dispatch you, and send you to a jobsite
You need someone to recommend you so it's faster if they do not put you "on the waiting list"
English?
if you go to the main lobby of the Carpenters Union they will give you the documents that tells you everything that you'll need on day one there are a couple of things that I never had to have myself when I was an apprentice Carpenter but the exact items that you will need and be required to have very depending on what substrate you work with in. Basically you will need a 20 oz for heavier framing hammer a set of tool bags a 25 foot or longer tape measure and aluminum speed square a torpedo level a string line Carpenters pencils a 2-foot level and a 4-foot Masons level. And OSHA approved hard hat. Steel-toed work boots with a steel Shank. if you've never been on a union job site I advise you to wear clothes that don't look brand-new and if your full bags are new spend a few hours at night before you go looking for a job beating them up with your new hammer on concrete so they don't look brand new. and if your hard hat is brand-new get a bunch of stickers and paste them all over it
You need your state id and your Social security card and last but not least... You have to be willing to give your employer 100% of you every second that you're on the job. Union carpentry pays approximately double what u would earn working non union and most union Carpenters will tell you they take the utmost pride in giving their boss the best job the are capable of doing as quickly and efficiently as they possibly can.... It's not a job you're getting. It's a brotherhood you're joining
Yes. Yoir status wirh the union apprenticeship program goes with u
Wslk in. U omly need tge desire to work
You will have to go to the hall training fund apply for an endeturement and they will hand you a paper to get a union company to sponsor you
Walk into the Local and ask the receptionist, she'll point you in the right direction. Its going to take commitment ill tell ya that. Anything worth something is gonna cost you your time. Good luck.
Walk in the the union hall feel out an app and they will give you a list of job sites. Walk on to the jobs ready to work lunch in your hand and tools on ready to go.
