Los Compadres is a gem! Unfortunately some people must be confusing this place with a restaurant or apartment complex or hotel? And they are leaving very confusing reviews. Most of the photos are NOT of Los Compadres Club either. As someone who has kept my horse here, I can assure you this is a horse boarding stables. There is also a clubhouse and club members who hold weekly dinners, mostly hamburger nights. Every year they throw a big BBQ event and the whole community is welcome to join. This is not a restaurant, there is no pool. It’s a horse boarding stables with a club house space next to it. This is an excellent place to board your horse. I’ve lived in multiple states and boarded my horse at more than 10 different facilities. This is the best place I’ve ever been. This is a historic facility that dates back to the 1930’s. There’s obviously been different management throughout the years, but for the past few years the stable manager is Jason Mascarenas, and he is fantastic. Not only does he do an excellent job managing the facility, but he’s a truly great horseman and a wonderful friend. The stablehand Alan does a great job too and also makes the place welcoming. The people here are extremely friendly. The atmosphere is relaxed and fun. This is a safe, clean and very comfortable facility with fantastic trails you can access right off the back of the property. Couldn’t ask for a better location, better management or better people. After boarding my horse at over 10 places in the last 10 years, I can say this place is a real gem among many many mediocre (or worse) boarding facilities.

Such fun attending the yearly Los Compadres fundraising BBQ. Underground pit used to make the tasty meat. Sauce is superb, coleslaw, beans and toasted bread make for a special meal under the stars. Can't forget country music with dancing for everyone. A good thing to put on your calendar for next year.

Great food but it takes really long for the food to arrive, and there were only two other people in the place, servers are also not very friendly
