Dr Rynning is not only a great orthopedic surgeon but a down to earth wonderful human being. I have been a patient of his for a few years and he advised waiting to have shoulder surgery until we had exhausted the other non-surgical options (what surgeon does that) prior to surgically repairing my shoulder. Now fast forward 18 months and I have an issue with my elbow, I try my primary Dr and was told to go to urgent care because of no available appointments so I called Dr Rynning’s office, explained what was going on and was seen and treated for a elbow infection the next day. Dr Rynning and his staff are excellent, and I highly recommend them for your orthopedic needs. Mark

I suffered a comminuted fracture of my left clavicle as a result of a bicycle crash. My personal physician referred me to Dr. Rynning along with another orthopedic surgeon. I read the bio’s of both and settled on Dr. Rynning, largely on comments of his commitment and concern for his patients, notwithstanding the fact that both were highly highly qualified. My injury required surgery which was performed as an outpatient. I can’t say enough good things about this doctor. He has treated me so well and did such a magnificent job in repairing my broken clavicle and the scar is virtually invisible. I have great confidence in Dr. Rynning and wouldn’t hesitate recommending him to anyone needing the type of services he offers. He’s the best!

On August 6th, 2019 I had a seizure and fell, breaking my tibia and fibula in half right above my ankle ( my first broken bone(s)). Dr. Rynning was my attending physician and I was so lucky to have him. He is an amazing Surgeon and an even better Doctor. He truly cares about his patients and works WITH you on your recovery. I had my surgery on August 8th, I have 2 plates and 18 screws. I'll show you before and after pictures of the inside and outside of my left leg. I already have an orthopedic Doctor who is great, but I'm going to switch to Dr. Rynning. That should tell you how much I appreciate him! ☺️

Best Orthopedic Shoulder Surgeon in San Diego! After an unfortunate mountain biking accident where I ended up breaking my clavicle, I saw Dr Rynning the next day and surgery was needed to put it back together. Next day surgery and the results have been awesome. 12 weeks in and I have full mobility and strength is coming back each week. No problems and the surgical results were excellent. Very skilled surgeon with an excellent bedside manner. Absolutely the very best orthopedic shoulder surgeon in San Diego! #cityexperts

Hi Robert, Please plan on attending your appointment, unless the doctor's office calls you to cancel. In good health, Mandy

I have Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona and need my elbow examined. Do you accept this insurance and will I need a referral from my primary care physician?

You would have to call your primary care physician for that information.
