They are more accessible than other offices. However limit on number of people allowed inside at one time.Better to arrive early have all documents ready .Their is a machine to facilitate faster service,in multiple languages. They have a security guard so he can direct you if you have questions about seating.

The absolute worst experience. A Miss Torres was mean and rude at a hard time in my life when I lost my husband. I will be following through with this as no one should be treated so horribly.

Came here today to replace my card, Keep it mind that it's by appointment only. Security guard and the guy that helped me out were both extremely polite, calm and helpful. Went straight to the window and was out within 7 minutes. Wish the DMV was this way.. Not sure why so many 1 star ratings on this place, it's the complete opposite.

The only reason im giving this place 1 star ia because the guard was nice, how can this place be called what it is and do not provide social social security cards? Should say on the website or on maps. Good thing i have a car

The phone is always busy; you cannot get thru
What info do I need to show to get a replacement social security card?
I’m trying to do this right now because when my parents divorced they are both control freaks one of them had to help my brother and my sister and my Social Security card and the other had to have all the birth certificates and I’m the only one who they lost the Social Security card and now here I am applying for EDD and SS a.gov is not working because I went all the way down to that one is the office today, just need to get a replacement card and I called the number and if you cannot do it at the physical location in La Mesa. You have to go online, make an account, abs then once you’re logged in you can press replacement card And they will send one out to you within 5 to 7 business days however it’s Saturday morning at 7:50 and the website says that they are open from 7:00 AM-11:00 PM. I just called them and they’re not open till 9am. Idk if the website is offline until they open. Also there’s no way that I can create an account bc it’s an invalid page.
No one is at the offices right now, you would need to call them.
yes, know problem
No, you can't. Closest one is in Cajon or downtown
First you need to make a police report, they sent me over to Down Town.
Yes it's open.
No they say they have a lot of drop calls because of so many calls keep trying
Hi Sylvia, it would be best to call them first. I went in on Tuesday and they were only taking appointments. Their normal hours are Monday through Friday. 9am to 4pm.
Yes they closed at 3pm
Yes, only through phone.
only for document drop off. Everything else has to be done over the phone or online
Not for in person meeting. From 12:30-3:30pm the security guard will let you in to drop off documents in the drop box. Everything else has to be done online or through the phone. Call first and they will give you a document number and who to address the envelope to.
No
Not sure For pandemia
not in person.
You can just do a walk in it's easy, there's like a big computer screen to your left when you walk in it will tell you what to do and take your ticket and wait in line
No
Call them
Yes you can
You can call
Just send a quick answer please
Mom died and San Diego coroner notified SSI immediately.
Call the 800 number
You can call them.
Call and ask them. This is run by Google map users who likely don't know that.
Go to the website.
Just leno medical...welfare office
Online or by phone.
Call them
You can call there public number, but they seem to only make appointments for certain particular situations. You can go in as a walk-in, too.
A passport is all you need to prove citizenship. A social security card only proves that you have a number, which is basically useless outside of the uninted states.
Card centers are downtown, el cajon, and national city field offices only
Unfortunately, most SSA offices do not take appointments. Even if you do, you'd be waiting on hold for 45 minutes before talking to someone. The good news is that this particular office runs smoothly and is not over-crowded, so a walk-in visit at open will get you in and out within an hour.
I believe you can do it online.
No, they take walk -ins. Just sign in at kiosk, take a number, and then wait.
If he is deceased you will need, SS # , current address, date of birth, copies of death certificate ,contact number, any paperwork (military, work retirement papers, bank info - account, ckecking, savings ect.... If he is still living he must apply.
Honestly I don't know, I know you can get SSI and SSDI through them, I'd call them to be sure, and if you find out please let us know. Thanks
