We bought seafood tonight from this market.. We arrived home and opened the bag and the Lobster Tails were SPOILED!!! They smelled like straight ammonia!!! NEVER AGAIN!!!

Northgate is THE BEST GROCERY STORE!! First off the staff are very welcoming and helpful. There are samples of food offered to you just like Costco, but so much better. Samples of tacos and menudo... yum yum! The store is so clean and the fruit and meat department offer only the choicest cuts and freshest fruit. I can't say enough about how clean and fresh all the food is. I have started to go every Saturday and get fresh carne asada, fresh salsas, and fresh corn tortillas for our afternoon lunches. My daughter loves their tamales, and my wife loves the fresh soups. The aqua fresca are soooooo good. You can literally get filled up with all the free samples they offer. But I'm not that guy. I get one or two. LOL. I didn't even mention the fresh pan dolce! A whole platter for 5.00! Even if you live out in Lakeside you should take the 35 minute drive and come out here!

Yes they are. I went at 8:30am and they had a system where 5 customers at a time went in to shop. I waited about five minutes to go in. Everyone was civil. I bought what I was looking for ( beans, rice, bread and fruit) mind you that only 6lbs. Of beans per customer.

Yes, they do. They have them in the fresh tortilla section. You can ask the clerk for either yellow or white kernals.
