I took my husband in and we were attended to promptly, he was admitted for4 days, he has been a registered nurse for 41 yrs and was happily surprised that the doctor came in sat and talk with him and addressed his concerns and listen to him. Her bedside attention was commendable. Thank you for all you folks did while he was in declining health.

Thank you to the emergency staff of Palomar. The check in process was easy, the wait wasn't terrible even though it was full. The triage doctor and the nurses were great. Kind, patient, knowledgeable, gentle with my 10 yer old who's afraid of needles. Sincere thank you for being great people and professionals.

I am sitting in Emergency room. Been here since 3 pm. It is now 5 am yes all night. After a six hour wait I saw dr who told me he wanted to admit to have a stress. No rooms. No emergency rooms no nurses. A few of staff have been caring. Nurse at emergency desk has been rude all day and night. Heard other nurses talking about me and my husband since we were trouble makers. No compassion. No real caring. One nurse told me I could go against medical advice but they would still bill me! As if that was the problem! No idea when i will get admitted. Feeling like a prisoner with no recourse. Asked to talk to nurse’s supervisor to report her negative attitude. She said sure I will call her …almost an hour ago!!! Will never come back here again.

I had an emergency and had to go to labor and delivery to make sure my baby was okay. I had the best experience there. The RN helped me park my car and when I was done the security team drove me to where my car was parked. The nurse's in L&D were all so kind. Maggie was my main nurse and she went above and beyond to make sure I was okay the entire time. The ultrasound tech was extremely kind and my OB was extra careful to make sure my baby was okay before letting me leave. I had a great experience at this hospital.

This is a teaching hospital you are correct, but you are sadly misinformed about the delivery process. It is resident physicians (who are doctors in training) that maybe assisting the OB GYN doctor during the time of delivery. As a resident physician myself I really appreciate the teaching experience, but want to assure that no resident performs deliveries without supervision. I often find physicians who are working with residents are more enthusiastic and knowledgeable in their field and are experts in their field. It takes a special kind of physician to teach a resident because they are extremely proficient and comfortable with what they do. I applaud Palomar for having resident physicians. NN I am sorry that you perceived your experience there as less than satisfactory, but I would like to comment on the nurses who work at L&D. They are extremely knowledgeable, professional, empathetic, and love what they do. I would trust any of them to deliver my child if need be. Just my 5 cents.
This is emergency care not the same as urgent. Urgent care is one step down from emergency care.
@lulu lue they all start somewhere! So did you at wherever you work. Stop giving teaching facilities a hard time unless you've been in their shoes. It's tough being on either end.
Yes, we had no problem
They are very accommodating. Each room is a private room that includes a sofa bed. As far as food and drink...it just depends if the patient is put on a special diet, etc. They aren't allowing visitors because of COVID-19 ...except one person in the er with a patient. I'm a caregiver for a quadriplegic and he was admitted and was in the hospital for 24 days. They let me stay with him the whole time and appreciated my help.
They can't help you very much because it is and I are and pain meds are so taboo you're gonna have a problem you need to go tear doctor and then to a specialist about your bath
I was told "yes".
Yes, but if they are in the mental health unit, you will not be informed.
You may have to check their website or call. Sorry I couldn't help more
Yes
Sorry have no idea
I suggest you contact customet service directly either from the actual website or calling. This is mainly for reviews.
You'll have to contact the hospital itself. Not too sure. We were patients in the ER.
Kaiser Permanente prefers you use their channels of support/services before you going to the hospital if at all possible. They offer same day doctor appointments and Urgent Care in San Marcos and will transport patients to Palomar Medical Center as needed. I was in a car accident in March 2018 and the ambulance took me to Palomar Medical Center in west Escondido where a staff trauma physician and trauma nurse worked on me with other hospital staff. I was in that hospital for 4 days and paid my Kaiser copay for it. That is a Kaiser affiliated hospital. I think they may still take psych patients at the east Escondido location.
If it was me I'd go see a doctor ASAP
County Health Services will run TB test, try calling 211 for County resource info.
A lot if you don't have inc.
I had my baby at Palomar hospital in February. Visiting hours was 10 to 10
I work in the Imaging Department and we do not have an open MRI machine at Palomar Escondido.
