This was such a unique experience! Definitely more things to do than the south and north rim. It was pretty awesome having the native Americans singing as people explored the area. Do be aware that you cannot bring animals here but there is a location not far from the Grand Canyon where you can board them

We have been to a Vegas so many times and never took the time to go. This time we did. What were we thinking??? Amazing is all I can say. They are so organized with the transportation. We drove then took the bus since it is part of the ticket. Best decision ever! Do not skip the skywalk!!!

Not worth the time. I've seen the better views of the Grand Canyon and this one is not worth it. General admission is $60. For skywalk you need to pay an extra $32. It's not worth the time to see West rim. I would consider seeing some other part of the grand canyon. Hey are way better.

This actually IS worth the money I payed for. I walked out on the glass walking over the canyon which was astounding magnificent. I have no problems with heights let alone walking on clear glass over possibly 2,000 feet plus. This has been a highlight of my trip.

Drove today from Las Vegas to Peach Springs, was at the total wrong side. Happens to many many people before. This ist a native American reservation. Don't do the same mistake as it happens to me today. Lost the whole day and did not go to grand canyon
Absolutely no problem even if you weighed 1000 lbs. Structure built to hold the weight of several airplanes, glass withstands multiple shotgun blasts.
Short answer: Yes! You must park in the general parking area just a couple miles away. The parking is free for however long you wish to stay. Then, you purchase tickets; giving access to 4 different attractions. - $50 base price. - About $80 total if you are brave enough for 'the sky walk' - on glass that is... - About $300 if you want the Hellicopter tour (give or take). A shuttle runs about every 10 minutes (+ or -) to take passengers to all 4 attractions. The wait barely registers in the brain. * I do suggest driving * 1. I've seen the prices for guided/bus tours; a scam, in my opinion. 2. The views to and fro are AMAZING! Depending on where you're driving from. Careful: it's mesmerizing! Rival that of the 'grand canyons' themselves. Pull over, or Keep your eyes on the road. A 'bucket list' type of view. Makes you wonder what else this amazing in the world you have never seen.
No, cameras still not allowed onto the Skywalk, as of October 2017.
There is a snack stand and a couple restaurants.
The roads from the highway to the parking lot are paved. But you have to pay and use the shuttle busses to get to the skywalk itself, you can't just drive to it
