Totally happy didn't have a long wait and got everything done that I needed to get done!

Impossible to get service if you aren't willing to be on hold for 5 hours or more. The guard is not willing to help in the slightest. I know it's a government office but it would be great if they could try harder.

This place doesn’t not even deserve a star. I was here in 2014 to get a new SSN card for lost one. I went and got a no. Before I could sit I was called, I did not hear it at the first time then the clerk shouted at me. She was a Asian clerk name Rose or Rosa. I did not had a document with me to complete the process but she could have been nice to me, instead she yelled at me and I asked her why are you being mean to me then she shut the window on me. The guard just watched me as I left crying. I even called the manager and asked why she behaved to me in such a manner. I don’t think anyone should be treated evil or yelled at. She needs to learn how to communicate with customers and smile as well be nice to everyone. The worst clerk ever.

It was actually not as painful as I’d thought it was going to be. I needed to get a new social security card because of this stupid real ID BS so it was off to the SS office. It’s pretty easy, check in and wait. And wait. And wait. David the security guard was very friendly and helpful, I really appreciated his help. The other two people that I met with were also very friendly and helpful. I won’t say that I’ll be back anytime soon, but if I do, I know where to go.

Can I walk in to Smith Ranch Roads Office, located in Terra Linda to get a appointment with a live clerk.??
Thay open up at 9:00am, I did that two times once on a Monday at once on a Tuesday both times I had 8 to 10 person ahead of me and I still got out of there in about 35 minutes.
How long does it take to get a new card
NO APPOINTMENTS NEEDED to drop off paperwork. Just go in, go upstairs, there will probably only be 2 other people there.
No, go to their office and take a number.
Yes, in fact, I think you must make an appointment.
Appointment .
I use the phone number that was posted on the front door and I was able to talk to a representative and make an appointment.
Not sure. I assume that You can. I would call them to find out. I just gave my girlfriend a ride there. Otherwise it was the cleanest and least busiest social security office I ever been to out of 3. The other two were in San Francisco which were more on the grimier side
Call when you want to make an appointment
You don't need to make an appointment but get there at 9am because there's always a wait.
Your question is just going to anyone who has ever visited the social security office. If you want official answers you really need to go to the office and speak with someone authorized to provide accurate answers. Good luck!
You can schedule, reschedule or cancel an appointment by calling 1-800-772-1213 between 7 a.m. to 7 p.m Monday - Friday.
no you do not in fact when you get there ask the security guard and he'll tell you where your documents should go
I called the number Johan Molina suggested and the recording said that all agents were busy and that I should call back later and to keep in mind that the office is busy at first of the month. So, bottom line, it's best to just go in to the office.
