All the staff was really cool and friendly. I went to see a live performance and the sound levels were just fine. It's in a nice area too and parking was not a problem. I'll definitely go back.

I have been wanting to experience the Ivy Room and I was out and about saw a show going on. Decided to go and the venue did not disappoint. Had an absolutely wonderful time. Enjoyed the band, the atmosphere, the people. Even randomly ran into some friends, whom it was their first time being at the Ivy as well! I will be going back regularly!

Oh, man, this place rocks! From the door manager to the bar staff and everyone in between, it is welcoming, friendly, and absolutely fabulous as a gig venue. They have a very small stage, and a four-person band barely has room to move around, yet the action is close to the crowd and mesmerising. The acoustics are great, the ambiance is warm and cozy. There isn't much seating, just one large booth in the back. Bathrooms were clean, well stocked. They literally let people hang out and talk until they were locking the doors. The guests and artists intermingled after the show which was great, and we got to chat with bay area notables that we haven't seen in ages. Seriously, I feel like the show I saw on 3/12/22 was one of the best gigs I have ever attended, and the "cloud-nine" feeling still is with me two days later. I loved going to the Ivy Room. In fact, just the name made me think it was an old-school type of place, and indeed it is. The Ivy Room opened in 1943 in the middle of World War II. The original neon sign is still on the building. You can picture sailors and soldiers on leave, filling the place with laughter and hearing music. There are multiple restaurants nearby for a delicious dinner. We went to the White Lotus across the street, Thai food, and had a fabulous experience there. The Ivy Room is now on my Top 10 places to see a band!
