They never answer the phone or return messages. This is no help to jobseekers who are experiencing high anxiety and stress during Covid 19.

I am currently unemployed and had to attend a required seminar. The woman giving the seminar barely spoke any English and people had to constantly ask her to clarify what she was saying. Job searching assistance is outdated - please do NOT tell me to look for jobs in a newspaper - seriously? I am over 60 and I was told I should try changing careers or get trained for a new job - no training assistance is provided (I work in the Food Industry) and any training would be an out-of-pocket expense. I am facing age discrimination as it is, and now I am supposed to spend time and money to be retrained. By the time I am retrained, I will be able to retire. Prior to working in the Food Industry, I worked in IT, and I was told I should apply for IT jobs. My IT skills are more than 15 years OUTDATED and I cannot compete with anyone that has current skills or is 30 years younger than I am.

Called to ask a question regarding UI per a letter I received. Very rude receptionist who kept talking over me and saying she didn't make the rules. I was just trying to get some simple information and she was very defensive for no reason. Hope I never have to deal with this office in person.

I beleive you have to call on a certain day of the week depending on the first initial of your last name. You must call first.
woburn career center sometimes has an all staff training session off site and they have closed at noon on couple occasions. They are always there but receptionist on calls constantly.
