Staff was great. We were upgraded which was very nice. Check in and check out were both very easy. Despite being the cheapest service at the airport, I thought it was a little expensive though.

I has a business trip that took me to Bangor, Maine. The Bangor Airport is small - so they did not have an actual "Preferred" system - so that meant a line. Then the cost of the car was more than 2x what it usually is in places like Orlando or Washington. While there was no issue w/ the staff or the car, the price point was beyond excessive for the service provided. This is the first time I've rented a vehicle since COVID - my first business trip. And I know the big boys like Hertz and AVIS were crushed during the Pandemic - but a >2x price increase is only going to chase long-time customers like me to lower-priced alternatives...

I rented from the Bangor airport. It was all very quick and easy. Very nice Avis guy, very helpful. Will definitely rent from them again. There Price was better then the others.

The desk was literally right next to baggage claim. I waited for the baggage while my husband took care of getting the car. The first car had something wrong with it, but they quickly put us in an upgraded vehicle and we were on our way. The car was very clean and the cost under some of the other companies. We have had really good experiences with Avis and will continue to do business with them!

Not sure if there is an Avis location in Bar Harbor. Definitely check their website. There is an Avis location in Bangor, ME at the airport. There are locations in both Springfield and Hartford to drop off. You just have to indicate that on the rental. FYI it is high season so you will most likely pay for milage as well.
I believe as long as you have the lease agreement there won't be a problem. I know if it's a personal vehicle if you don't have the registration they will not allow you to cross. So I think the lease agreement from the rental company will do
