Never been disappointed with the professionalis, expertise, patience and kindness of the staff at Tidal Health - from the point of view of a Medical Assistance. From emergency services to a procedures - they always saved the day. And if it happened to be a weekend on a full moon and alot was going in and full in the emergency room as in every city hospital, it was always worth the wait to greet the professional who began the work. I often think of switching careers to work with them as well as being a patient now and then.

I don’t know how this filthy place hasn’t been shut down. A family member went in w sever pain. 3 days of “test” groups of students observing before finally removing the gallbladder. 6 days no one ever brought a clean gown, bedding or cleaned the room. Bag of antibiotic fluid was found behind the bed on the day of discharge. The next day had to return to the hospital via ambulance. More tests to find out there was an infection, maybe because they never administered the antibiotics! They went from saying could be kidneys, liver and several other things. Ended up catching C-diff on 2nd visit. Maybe the nurse that was trying to hook up the IV w a cup of someone’s urine in her hand is to blame or the fact that they simply don’t clean the room. The shower had a dirty wash rag & used bar of soap in it from a previous patient. A busted IV was left unattended for over 4 hours, thanks to Emily on the 5th floor who didn’t want to deal w it, she left it for her coworker on the next shift. In order to be discharged my family member had to pay $182 for an antibiotic from their pharmacy, couldn’t be purchased elsewhere or use a coupon. A lady from financial assistance said she could help but never returned to the room as promised. The nurses sat at the station receiving an endless amount of food & coffees while bashing patients. The incompetence is unbelievable

We unfortunately cannot take patients in our Emergency Department on a first-come, first-serve basis. We take them in order of how much of an emergency their case is, so unfortunately some people do end up waiting a while - but it is a case of life-and-death for some people, and it's our responsibility to perform that triage. We understand how frustrating it can be and never like to make people wait. It only happens when there's no choice. The Emergency Department is a busy place, unfortunately. Be safe out there!
No
Yes.
They have Valet parking at The Cancer Unit doors. 7 to 3;30. Very nice gentleman help you with whatever they can.
Yes, as long as the care team thinks it's OK and not a safety risk - every (non-covid) patient in the emergency room can have a support person at all times.
Never had that k ind of experience. Wait time has been very little for me and the staff are very friendly.
You can, but to minimize hospital traffic during COVID-19, we recommend using one of our off-site labs like at Woodbrooke (410-543-7475, 1639 Woodbrooke Drive, Salisbury, MD 21801) or Milford Street (410-543-7294; 106 Milford Street, Suite 404, Salisbury, MD 21804).
Call their medical record office let them know what years you want
The pharmacy at the hospital is only permitted to fill the first prescription given at the hospital. Lower Delmarva's only 24-hour pharmacy is Walgreens in Seaford, DE. If your son has emergency medical/behavioral health needs and must be seen, we do have 24-hour psychiatric care.
Dr. Frey does have privileges at PRMC, but he has his own practice and is not employed by PRMC, so is not obligated to use MyPenCare. His practice might have its own patient portal that you can access, however. We hope you are finding MyPenCare useful for lab tests that are drawn here and for our employed physicians. It's a great way to be able to track your health. It would certainly be more convenient for you to be able to see all of your results in one place. We will talk to our medical staff services team and make sure an invitation has been extended for Dr. Frey to participate if he wishes.
Our partners at Peninsula Imaging are excellent at accommodating claustrophobic patients - we recommend giving them a call. https://www.peninsulaimaging.com/
Call the hospital they can tell you
We use bleach, steam sterilization and germicidal agents to keep our rooms as clean as possible. We also require staff to sanitize their hands before entering and after leaving every room, and strongly encourage visitors to do the same so as not to import infections. You can use federal government ratings at https://www.medicare.gov/hospitalcompare to view not only our infection rates but those of other hospitals in the area or the state. We work every day to ensure that our hospital is sanitary and that patients are in the cleanest, safest place to heal.
Yes. In just a 2-3 miles radius there are plenty of options ranging from hotels (there is a LaQuinta right accross the street) and motels available.
Typically the early fall Is the best time to get the flu shot as it will give you the strongest immunity during the height of flu season. September or early October is a good time to get your shot. In 2018, Peninsula Regional holds its free Drive-Thru Flu Clinic at the Shorebirds' Perdue Stadium on October 12 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. The shots are free and no appointment is needed. Our offices and pharmacies can give you vaccinations as well.
