We unfortunately cannot take patients in our Emergency Department on a first-come, first-serve basis. We take them in order of how much of an emergency their case is, so unfortunately some people do end up waiting a while - but it is a case of life-and-death for some people, and it's our responsibility to perform that triage. We understand how frustrating it can be and never like to make people wait. It only happens when there's no choice. The Emergency Department is a busy place, unfortunately. Be safe out there!
They have probably been triaged already and no rooms available as rooms are given to priority. And some rooms are still used to treat COVID patients
