Went into the store with my mother on 3/9 to purchase a ceiling fixture. She found one she liked and it was on sale. It was clearly marked $150. When we got to the register we were told the price was $200 more than the ticketed price. The refused to honor their price on the tag and wouldn't make it right. Horrible customer service. They said they would give her a $25 coupom, but it couldn't be used on sale items.

I walked into Rockingham Electric in Newington, NH about 10 minutes before closing, needing some guidance about how to hang a stained glass fixture that I had from a cathedral ceiling. Gail greeted me warmly, patiently explained my best options, and set me up to get my fixture adapted to my needs. When I walked in the following afternoon with a change of plans and even mrore questions, she took a lot of time to explain the details of what, how, and why I needed with the altered specifications. Wow. Her customer service and friendly, helpful demeanor made my difficult choice and task so much easier. Conversely, when I walked next door to buy the junction box that she had advised, the man working there walked up to me after being on a business call and greeted me only with a raised eyebrow. When I tried to explain what I needed, he gave me the most baffled and exasperated look and told me he didn't think he had had what I needed. Until Gail walked to that counter and helped me with my terminology. Then the man grumbled about how she should have told me the right terminology in the instance place and how he din't Know how the rest of his crew worked with the showroom people. When he came back with my item, he spoke to his colleague about something someone else wanted and then started into helping me purchase the item by saying, "last name?" and typing into a computer. I felt as though I was annoying him. I'll continue to occasionally purchase the lovely things sold in the Rockingham Electric showroom and am so grateful for the help I got there, but I'll avoid the supply store like the plague. -- Sent from Gmail Mobile

Large selection of high-end lighting for my home. High-end lighting costs are quite a bit higher than what one would see at a big box stores, but a lot of it is very innovative.

Poor customer service. I drove 40 miles because they are a dealer for a light fixture. The woman browsed briefly at their catalog then declared that they didn't have the book. Then made a half hearted effort when I asked for a similar style. Would never go back, very disappointed, what a waste of time.
