Great environment and ambiance with live music. A lot of choices from their drink menu from craft beer to well drinks and old fashions. Today we had their salads (cesar and soba) both needed more seasoning and the dressings were a bit of a let down. That said our friend who had their Bahn mi and fries said it was great. All in all great experience but food could be a bit more consistent.

My family and I were visiting Balboa Park last Monday, and typically, we eat lunch at the Prado Restaurant. We didn’t know that the Prado was closed on Monday and surprised since it was summer. This is the first time in this restaurant. There was a long wait for lunch and we put our names on the waitlist. The restaurant has a bar that we can order first while we wait. It took over 30 min for to get on the line to order our food. The food is pricey. The fries and wild rice were very salty. My salmon was over cooked. Overall, it was a mediocre experience.

We always come here for drinks while we visit Balboa Park. This time, we went to Natural History Museum and then came here for their good drinks. Here’s cocktails are very well mixed. I tried a mule which has a little whiskey touch which is amazing. My husband Bear’s Knees is not a regular one either, but it’s better! I love doing sketches when the weather is nice and my mood is great. The view in the backyard is so beautiful. I love this place.

Would highly recommend getting a drink here next time you’re in Balboa Park. Great atmosphere and quick service. You order at the bar and seat yourself so there’s no hassle. Plenty of heaters for all the tables

Yes! There is plenty of room and an interesting water feature to keep them busy!

Pretty standard. Food is only to go. It's really good even for a box lunch. Otherwise, just keep six feet away. It's a total outdoor experience so it's super safe and still fun.
Food is not allowed on the grass area
We don't know. The Young Lions create their own schedules and we often don't know who will be performing. You might want to check their site and/or social media.
It depends on the day, the amount of rain and if there are any events. Tonight, 2/13, we will open the kitchen at 5pm for the weekly Jazz Jam inside, but our outside bar and seating will be closed. Thursday we will be closed due to the extreme weather we're expecting. Please check Instagram for the most updated info.
Best entry for access is from the east off of Park Boulevard onto Presidents Way. Turn right on Pan American Rd East. As you get to the Plaza you can drop off on the right in the bus zone (so you're not in traffic). The Plaza and adjacent sights/attractions are completely accessible 😊
Gentle, leashed pets, that are kind to humans and their fellows, are welcome within the seating area (not in the sculpture garden at the west end).
