We recently moved from Maine to Ecuador, and were forced to leave two bags behind due to an embargo in that country. What to do?! Thankfully, Old Port Foreign Exchange was right around the corner from our United check in. Kassandra was on duty that day, and with her good nature, and ease of handling our situation, we were able to have a temporary solution to safe storage of our luggage. Once we reached our destination, we were amazed at how well and efficiently Charlton looked at every angle and possibility, for us to be reunited with our luggage - including the reasons why, best options, etc. All while charging a minimal storage fee! This company is at the top of their game. I would highly recommend for integrity and thorough professionalism. Finally, a solution became apparent and we feel we were guided by angels. Exchanged dollars for pounds for trip to the UK last summer. In the exchange we were given several 50 pound notes that were out of service in the UK and weren't accepted there. Of course, we didn't find this out until we tried to use them. I think this would probably be a great service if you're exchanging a foreign currency for dollars, but if you need foreign currency, just wait until you get to the foreign airport for the exchange.
