While Dr. Ellis was fantastic, unfortunately the rest of my experience at Mountain View Eyecare was terrible. Dr. Ellis helped me find ways to improve my eye health with a different brand of contacts and some eyedrops - that was a great improvement! I also decided to get a new pair of frames and new lenses in my old frames. My new pair of glasses took a while, and given the Covid-19 pandemic, I was patient. When I picked up my new pair of glasses, I swapped out my old frames to get lenses in them. After 30 days of not hearing anything, I called the office and they didn't seem to know anything about them and said they would call me back. No call. I waited another week, called back, said they would call back, no call. An additional week went by (now 6 weeks), and finally I got someone on the phone who was willing to help locate my glasses. I was able to pick them up 5 days later. When I picked up my new pair of frames, the optical tech told me she shouldn't need to adjust them to fit my face, that they should already fit. It having been a while since I got new glasses, I went on my way to discover later that they slid right off of my face. I have a strong prescription so need these glasses and ended up wearing my son's sunglasses strap to keep them on my face for the 6 weeks while I waited for my old frames to be located. When I picked up my old frames, they gave me a hard time about fitting my new frames and were impatient with me while I tried them on. After finally having both of my frames, and 2 pairs that fit, I had also ordered another 3 month supply of daily contact lenses. They finally arrived about 6 weeks after the order date, but, half of the order was not my prescription, or even close enough that I could use. When I called in to tell them about this mix-up, they did not take ownership, or seem to have any idea about my order or what had happened, or if my current prescription is backordered and when I would get new lenses. Needless to say, I was patient in the beginning, but at this point I would never go back or refer anyone there. It is too bad, because the doctor is great, but the office and optical techs are horrible. Communication needs to be drastically improved in this office. Good luck!

I have been going to Mountain view eye care since I was a young kid. I absolutely adore Dr. Cameron, she is an amazing doctor. The only reason I didn't give one star is because of her. I have recently run into some trouble when trying to talk to someone. I called the other day to request my glasses prescription to be emailed to me. Whoever I spoke with was very short with me and seemed put out by this task. She did send it to me however the prescription was not complete. I paid an additional $5 at my last exam to have my PD measured and that is not on my prescription. It also does not have half of it filled out. Thus I am not able to order glasses... which is the whole reason I went for an eye exam. I called today to speak with someone about this and got an answering service. Which is no problem but she was 100% rude with me. I asked if I could talk to someone about my glasses prescription and she said "This is an answering service, that's why we say it's an answering service when we answer the phone." I am completely frustrated with the attitudes I have received from the staff here. I love Dr. Cameron but I will be looking to go elsewhere. I myself am a receptionist and would not have a job if I talked to people the way they have. It is not professional and it is not helpful. Meanwhile I will not be able to have glasses ordered because I dont have a prescription that I've paid for.

Has gone down hill, everyone is rude and unwelcoming. Takes 3 months to get in unless you want to see a doctor who doesn't listen.
