The Barnum and Bailey Circus used to come by train to Lynn. The Museum has a large photograph of the Circus parade going through Union St. while throngs of people line the streets. They also house the oldest toy in Lynn, Ellie, the Elephant, a stuffed elephant donated by the granddaughter of the woman who made Ellie. Ellie comes out for the third grade students to see during their visit to the Museum. While no one can touch her, she brings much joy to all who look at her. She is about a hundred years old.
