An amazing park with an incredibly welcoming and talented host who showed us around his property. Would highly recommend.

The park is the best hidden treasure. Beautiful sculptures by Robert Butler in the great nature setting. If you're lucky, the artist himself will welcome you and show you around. Mr. Butler is incredibly interesting and informative person. If you just want to hang out on your own that is also an option. The admission is free!

Me and my girlfriend passed the park enterence yesturday so we were naturally interested because the butler sculpture park is close to my home and i have never visited it before. We did our research online, and read that it was free admission, free parking and it is open 7 days a week. After reading this, why wouldn't i want to go and check it out? So today i picked my girlfriend up at work and we took off for the sculpure park. When we got there we signed in, read the information, took a picture of the map and started walking the path. We walked around for a little while and were enjoying the sculpures and the beautiful day. We then were towards the end of the path and the map took us next to a building where there were a few sculpures. We then heard someone behind us yell "its rude not to introduce yourselves!" We didnt know how to take it at first and we thought he was joking, but then we realized he wasnt at all.. and mind you, we had no idea this guy was even there, he kind of snuck up on us and startled us a bit. He then proceeded to yell at us about how we could be "sneaking around the building" when the map clearly takes you next to this building.. we apologized repeatedly and he kept telling us to "leave! Just drive down the hill!" This was a pretty terrible expirience and i am still upset about it..

Questions & Answers

Why is there a crotchety old man that yells at you when you walk around the park? We were enjoying the sculptures when a dissoriented old man started verbally harrassing us! No exaggeration! It was so freaky and quite frankly insane..
