Simple hike for our son's first ever. Very peaceful, ample parking and a nice river view at the halfway point.

Beautiful hike through the woods over small streams and springs that eventually winds its way down to the Hudson River. There are benches along the way, though the hike is not very strenuous, for resting or just to enjoy the peace and quiet of nature. There is one hill to climb which isn't bad at all, the 'difficult' part of this hike is there are a lot of jagged rocks so you need to be mindful of where you step which can be difficult with a 60 pound dog pulling you along! Other than that, it's an easy hike. Difficulty 2.5 out of 5. Not many people on a perfect Sunday July afternoon at 11:30 am. The parking lot is small. There is another parking lot slightly south of the entrance on 9W if necessary. A great way to spend a summer day. #BlackCreekPreserve #ScenicHudson

Great nature hike. Very windy at river side. Peaceful. One area with a tree across the trail, but easy walk around.

A relatively short hike (3 miles roundtrip) which we managed with a 1 year old. Well-curated trails with diverse offerings, from creek to vernal pools and finally to a serene stretch of Hudson River bank. The suspension bridge is quite cool!

No, it's too shallow.
You'd probably get a police visit and have to find another spot to camp for the night. It's a small lot and part of the access is shared with a private driveway
The sections next to the path are very shallow, only couple of inches
No, parking and hiking are free. There is, however, a drop box where you can leave a donation to support the nonprofit that maintains the preserve.
