This was such a nice surprise to stumble across on our road trip from Vegas to Grand Canyon West. We had no idea the Joshua Tree forrest was along the way. There was a point along the drive that that was all your eyes could see was fields of Joshua Trees. Our country is beautiful!!

Gorgeous surprise on our drive from Las Vegas to the Grand Canyon West Rim. Even on a cold and snowy (yes snowy in AZ) the view was awesome! Highly recommend a stop if you're in the area.

There are two of them, one in Cali and one in Arizona. Not sure which one is prettier, although the one in Cali seems bigger.
2,000 feet - 6,000 feet They grow the largest and more prevalent at elevations of 3,300-5,000 feet.
There are several different ones. The lastest collection of Joshua trees is in Mojave national Park/preserve. There is also the Joshua Tree National Park which also has Joshua trees but surprisingly is smaller than what you would find in Mojave. Also, the Joshua Tree National Park is located in California but is close to the border.
