I enjoy Franklin lakes. It's nothing terribly special but, provided you take your dogs during the times when they are not cleansing the water, dogs are free to swim in the water in the views are nice. It's important to note that there is a lot of wildlife in the area, so keeping dogs on leash is a must if your pets have a high prey drive.

It's a beautiful spot to find a reconnect with nature! There are lots of spots to sit and take in the views! I love the swans, but there are fish, dragonflies, and turtles sunning themselves on logs. You can rent kayaks canoes and paddleboards from Ramsey Outdoor for an hourly rate.

Quaint well kept lake area and hiking trails around the shoreline right in the heart of Franklin Lakes

One of my favorite outdoor locations for early morning trail walks and workouts. FL Nature Preserve is always quiet, peaceful, and serene. The grounds and trails are always well kept and rigorously maintained. And you can’t beat the views/atmosphere. The air is pure and refreshing and everywhere you turn you’re surrounded by the most beautiful features Mother Nature has to offer.

$25 for tandem and $20 for single fir the first hour.
Fishing is allowed while the park is open, dawn till dusk. It is catch and release.
If you have a jogging stroller it will pass pretty well. One with smaller wheels less so. The initial path is wide the path narrows and the bridge path may be a struggle with a smaller stroller. Again one with big wheels wont be an issue.
